This is a big London derby for me, as my assistant coach is a Tottenham fan. It will be a rough Monday if Chelsea don't win.

For once, I like Chelsea's chances in a crowded fixture list. A lot is going to happen in the next 14 days. If Arsenal choose this moment to blink, it could cost them dearly.

Isn't this when the big squad is supposed to payoff?

Also, I read today that Chelsea has more points than any other second place team in the history of the Premiership (up to this point in the season).

One more away win would also set a club record for league play.

Has JFH earned himself a start? Could it be back to Gudjohnsen and Jimmy in the Premiership? Mutu and Crespo on Tuesday? Gronks and Duff Saturday. Cole and Duff Tuesday? Gronkjaer, though, has played well against Arsenal of late. He seems to be a good match against their big right back.

    But first Tottenham.

We had better watch our arses here for this one or we'll be on the wrong end of a hiding.
The Yids will be well up for it, no doubt about that.
DeFoe was brilliant on Wed night- hope it was his best for a while yet ;)

This is the time of year now that Ranieri has to throw his bloody rotation thingy out the window.
Pick a best 11 and barring injury, run them out again in every single match to the end of the season.

Yes, we have a big squad, but at this stage of the season he should have a clue as to who will play most matches.
No more experimentation either - play Duff on the left wing for the remainder of the season, Gallas and Terry in the center, Bridge on the left and melchiot on the right untill Johnson is ready to comeback.

Lampard, Makelele and Gronkjaer fill out the middle.

    Up front?
    Um.......

    Melchiot Gallas Terry Bridge
    Parker Lampard Makalele Duff
    Gudjohnsen Hasselbaink

    Interesting....

He's gone Italian again with 2 defensive midfielders i see.
I can see his reasoning i suppose as the yids have moved on from the problems they had earlier in the season are now an almost half-decent side :)

The front pairing - if true - is telling me that crespo and Mutu will play in the bigger match on Tuesday.
Hasselbaink likes scoring aginst the yiddos though.

Got a bit dicey there at the end...Nice 3 points keeps us alive for the title. Arsenal losing in the FA Cup may yet put a dent in their armor as well, especially since they have so many injuries at this time. We'll know so much more after the easter weekend 2 match in two days run for both clubs.

BTW, do I not know the rules? Parker and Iceman were level when Parker played the ball into the center. Sure there were no Tottenham players back, Eduir was still level with the ball.

And again, ******** the annoucner. :D

That was a good win and a very entertaining game i must say.
Puzzling that Spurs are as low as they are, to be honest they're not all that bad, but a bad start has killed their season.
DeFoe is a class player, what a difference he would have made to their season if he had been with them from the start.

Thought we should have had a penalty to be honest and that flipin wanker Taricco was lucky to stay on the pitch.
We are a better team when Duff plays - when he's on song we're on song.
Back line was strong yet again and Ambrosio did what all good keepers do - ie he did nothing to lose the game for us.

Three points at three point lane yet again :D

BBC saying that Reyes and Lundjberg are out for Tuesday.

    Lose to Spurs?

    Not in my lifetime :D

4 points within the Arse, just reminds of the turning point of our season, that 1-0 home defeat by Liverpool, we should have (and we deserved to) win that game and we didn’t and from that moment the title slipped away from us.

Sperz just need a decent coach/manager and a few players here and there and they would be a very decent side.

This isn't too bad at all!

Even more clear blue water between us & ManU, 4 points off the top, no more injuries (that I've heard of), no embarrasing goal-keeping errors and todays points total guarantees us CL football next season - an important milestone.

What's happened to JFH? Is he on fire or what? 4 goals in two games - should he play next week?

    Interesting question that about Hasselbaink.

Obviously Ranieri wanted to rest the others for the Arse game, but if it were up to me i would now have the in-form Hasselbaink on at the whistle.

Making it hard for them to release him in the summer no?

Still, one could also say he's pretty much guaranteeing somebody will pick him up in the summer.

Yes I would start with Jimmy on Tuesday, he looks keen, no slouching.

A very satisfactory performance today, I had not been at 3 point lane in years it has changed quite a bit since I was last there, I must confess that was when we beat Watford in an FA cup semi final just before we beat Leeds.

we are second in the league, with 16 points more than we had at this stage last season. I think I’m right in saying that We can now go no lower than 4th in the league. We have seven games left - twenty one points – which means Liverpool can make seventy and Newcastle 69. So we should be very happy.
