After reading this I had the following thoughts:
-It seems that Magee is whipped.
-Sometimes it's easy to forget that many of these guys are still just kids, and that maybe we heap too much pressure on them.
    -Man, I'm getting really old.

    from the la times article

"American goalkeeper Brad Friedel of Blackburn Rovers was honored Sunday by being named to the All-Premier League team, as selected by the English Professional Footballers Assn."

way to go Brad. There's some recognition for american players.

Quaranta also scored right around the time he had to hustle to get to his girlfriend's prom.

He got a goal too. :p

Unbelievable. The EPL is naming an all star team. This is outrageous.

What's next - an EPL All Star Game?? My God. It's stunts like this that make the EPL a laughing stock. I'm gonna skip the whole damn thing. Soccer is serious and this is plainly an attempt to kow-tow to the American Ex Pat soccer snobs.

This madness must stop before someone gets hurt.

Clearly he couldn't let the match go into overtime.

Who was the Rapids' kid who missed a match because of the prom?

Gee, first FIFA goes to golden goals in some competitions, and now the EPL has an All-Star Team? Maybe it's American Soccer Manifest Destiny - we're taking over. ;)

Is it a whole team, or a best 11?

Next thing you know, FIFA's all stars will play the reigning world cup holders at Giants Stadium, drawing more than 78,000 fans in a doubleheader with the MLS East and West All stars.

    Oh wait.

Yea, but it appears Santino's girlfriend "pulled the goalie".

    Be safe Mike! ;)

Seth Trembly. Of course, Mooch told him he had to bring his date to the stadium before the game for pictures.

Now that I think more about it, the prom was Friday and he hustled out to Columbus on Saturday, then scored a goal that night.

Nugent joins MetroStars on developmental deal
    -SportsNetwork

Also, as posted on the Metro boards:
Metro Stars jugará en San Pedro Sula -LaTribuna (Spanish)

Metrostars will play a friendly in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on Wednesday May 7. The opponent will be a combination of players from Marathon and Real Espana. The games are to raise some money for these clubs which are struggling financially. It says they were thinking of bringing in a Mexican club or another Central American national side but they decided on the Metrostars because they have Guevara.

For some reason, I thought that "JTS" was a reference to the NFL Draft. "J-E-T-S". Glad to see it wasn't.

I haven't thanked you in a while for taking the time to do this every day, so here it is again: thanks, Jim!

But if coming up with a tagline isn't fun anymore, then just leave it as the date.
