Weren't we suppose to play host to Ireland on that date? I know as of several days ago that is what the schedule on SoccerTV.com said.

    USWNT/WUSA doubleheader

It's official: the USWNT will play Nigeria on 4/26 at RFK as part of a WUSA doubleheader. The other match will be the Freedom v Beat.
U.S. women to play Nigeria in Washington

Last year's WNT - WUSA doubleheader involved the Cyberrays and Courage followed by the WNT v Finland at Spartan Stadium. As I recall, LaKeysia Beene was the only player who suited up for both matches. I wonder if anyone will do double duty this year.

Edit: Here is the USSF press release:

Oh man. It makes me nervous, them playing Nigeria. I get visions of a Nigerian player making one of their famous late hits and taking somebody out with a bad injury. But I guess they gotta take on all challengers.

Can one of the mods remove the question marks from my title. That way it's more of an announcement instead of a question. Thanks.

    From today's Washington Post:

I think the question marks are good - USWNT vs Nigeria????

After the Algarve, we are playing:
Nigeria (Qualified, chippy play at times).
    England (just missed qualifying)
    Korea (Should qualify)

Where's Canada, Norway, Germany, China, Brazil, Russia, France, Sweden, Australia, and even Mexico in our schedule?

This very well could be a strategy of playing against different styles and "hiding" our talent while playing the best teams possible. Or that we want to protect the older players.

Canada has 5 games in the four months before the WWC, the US has 1. Fatigue could be a factor for Canada and if the US plans a month long camp, fatigue may also arise with them.
