1.Why? He was wide open, and probably scores, Crespo was embarrasingly selfish and stupid in that instance.

2.Joe Cole and Damien Duff dont exactly have the cleanest records when it comes to falling over.

IF Crespo had passed Robben would have scored.

That said. I thought Joe Cole looked more lively than either of them when he came on and he DID score - although it was disallowed fro no reason I could fathom

Duff puts in more crosses than Robben, which if you're playing 2 up also has its advantages, now that we know Drogba can head the ball.

Istanbul. I'm hopefully going to finish dealing with work in a few hours and then go see Hagia Sophia, since the day is absolutely gorgeous.

    nice. enjoy yourself.

Topkapi palace is good too. ..and the Cistern thing. Fetihye, Trabzon, Amasya, Cappadocia, Lake Van and that place in the south-east of the country with those large heads was cool.

*non-Chelsea matter - no need for bold blue type.

Unfortunately, Istanbul is as far as I'm going to get. Next trip to Turkey I'll cover the Western coast (Izmir, Ephesus) and Trabzon in the north.
Meanwhile, I need to figure out where to go for a long vacation this year. Any reccomendations?

Depends how long you got innit.

Costa Rica, Belize, Bonaire are handy to get to from here. But you're there. I always liked Bali & Lombok. Greece is always worth it for some sun and sightseeing. Marakesh?

I've been thinking Greece too. I'll probably go to Marrakech this summer for a long weekend with some friends. Belize is a bit far from Europe, and thus counter productive. I'll do it when I get back to the states.
I'm definitely planning to be in St. Emilion for the wine festival in September though.

Stick to college basketball you big plonker! ;)

    1. How many times has Robben had open teamates and selfishly shot at goal or tried to beat another defender?

    2. Duff and J. Cole are/and have been a lot better. Robben is really disgraceful because he dives for penners, and to me that is worst! He would fit in well at Barca.
