"Grimandi has remained mum on the topic. Until the situation is sorted out, Hankinson said he has asked Grimandi to practice alone rather than perform drills with the team." What on earth is going on here? This is one of the weirdest situations ever in MLS. He's off juggling a ball by himself while the rest of the team practices? I'm sure this isn't a distraction for the team. Maybe he just isn't buying into that whole black and blue mentality. Dan Counce: "Just sign this paper saying that the black and blue jerseys inspire you to a more physical style of play and you can practice with the team. Just sign your name and this can all be over..."
Yeah, I thought that was weird too. If the guy is trying to decide whether to stay on with the Rapids, why isolate him from the team and have him practice on his own? Practice with the team, develop team comraderie and maybe he would not be so homesick. Methinks we are not getting the whole story here. I hope he stays. I want to see him play.
