BURN PARTNERS WITH 3RDDEGREE.NET FOR REPORTS FROM CHILE Buzz Carrick, editor of www.3rddegree.net, an independent internet site devoted to the Burn, will be accompanying the team on their two-week trip to Chile. While in Chile, Carrick will post daily practice reports, game summaries, player and coaches interviews as well as updates on how the team is spending their free time in Chile. Additionally, he will provide photos of training, games and other various activities of the team. His submissions will be posted on 3rddegree.net as well as dallasburn.com and mlsnet.com.
Hey Buzz...I thought you couldn't afford to take the time off for a preseason trip with the Burn. You win the lotto??!! But glad to hear you'll be going, and looking forward to reading the reports.
Buzz, As a Burn fan who enjoys and respects your work, I hope you have a great time. The opportunity to travel to a foreign country is really a great honor. Best of luck. Sarge
Why thanks. I plan on it. And I will spill as much dirt as they let me. And probably beer too. I have been practicing. "Una Mas Cervesa, Por Favor."
I hope this can be a permenant partnership so we can have a decent web site. Maybe you can just write on their site, have polls, breaking news, and player reports.
Buzz, Put me in your suitcase. I'm rather light. Congrats, and say hello to the Chilean ladies for me.
Re: Re: 3rd Degree in Chile The burn should at least have the 3rddegree logo in their home page. Anyways, Im really happy for 3rd.
Wow. That sounds like one of the best jobs in the world. See?? Good things do come to those who wait!
Wow. That's exciting. Congrats. Hey, when we post links to your articles on MLSnet on the MLS N&A page, do you want us to say: Buzz:Article on Burn in Chile 3rddegree: Article on Burn in Chile
If you get any pics of ROB 'having fun' with Chilean women, please post them here. New Orleans seems so long ago.
3rd Degree will be fine, as it really is more than just me. In this case my name will get seen when they go to the site... which I don't really have an ego about anyway. I am not really sure how much MLSnet and Dallasburn.com will use. Ceratinly they will take the game reports. But I don't think they will use a bunch of the smaller detailed things I am going to put up. For now I have planned a travel diary, practice reports, game reports, interviews with players and coaches, reports on side events the team participates in (if any), and pictures of all of the above. All of which is of course subject to change.
I have a feeling that we'll be seeing a lot more "exclusive stories" in 3rd Degree in the next year about what a great and wonderful guy Andy Swift is. Just a suspicion.
I saw that Johnny Walker signed with Colo Colo. Do you think could interview him to find out what happened with his attempt to play in MLS. Was it simple economic? or was there more to it? Bring back some "Empanadas Horneadas" and pastel de choclo or two. Top it off with a Pisco sour and your money. Just keep in mind, "que no hay gringo soltero que vuelve de Chile como tal". Just ask Andy's dad or my dad about those Chilean women.
3rd degree, Is the Burn´s schedule in Chile out yet? I´m an American studying in Valparaiso right now, so if the Burn is playing Wanderers or Everton, both of who play in Valpo, I´d love to come out and offer some good old gringo support for you guys. Eltico
Not yet. I am told it is still a work in progress, as they are looking for about 7 games, and have more teams than that who want to play. As soon as I get it I will post it of course.
