Plain and simple - get the scoop on the rumored Frisco deal. So far nobody has been able to get any closer to what's about to go down. We know that HSG and Frisco are working and that an announcement is close. What hte announcement actually will be i.e. deal is done or agreement to work toward closing a deal - is anybody's guess. Also, there seems to be no idea whether we are looking at a stadium that is more like the Crew's or Galaxy's? Go to work boys!
Safer to be an 'after-Burner' here. If you're going to get 3rd Degree Burn at all, better to be safe than sorry.
If I get the chance, I'll ask Andy Swift at tomorrow's game. I expect to hear the "we'll be making an announcement in a couple of weeks" line, but you never know.
Re: Re: 3rd Degree Challenge My proactivity has so far yielded zilch. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I couldn't think of anyone else up to the task.
Well some people tell me things, but I am not a city beat reporter. I do not know enough about city planning, bond issues, etc, etc, to make informed reports. So basically I decided to leave the stadium stuff to the professionals and concentrate on the team. So while in essence I will decline your challenge, I will say that I am hearing the same positive things that others are. The deal is looking very good from the info I am getting. The people I know involved in this story are on top of it. You should be hearing (reading) some things soon I predict. And of course if I get my hands on any real concrete info that I can pass along I will as always do so.
I will throw in that I too am hearing wonderfully positive things from all angles (fans, press, city officals, team people) and even from people that normally are very negative minded about such things. But, after getting my soccer-pants all in a tizzy over McKinney only to be dissapointed, I ain't celebrating nothing till my ass is sitting in my season ticket seat in Frisco...
