Well, looks like I arrived just in time. This festival opens on Friday and Saturday in Central Park with a concert at 7pm followed by a movie at 9 or so. Friday is Gabriel O Pensador, a decent Brazilian rapper although I haven't heard any of his recent stuff. The movie is Maria's Place (Bendito o Fruto). Saturday is Nacao Zumbi, a band I am really looking forward to. The film that follows is "The Owner of the History" (A dona da historia). Sunday onwards films are in Tribeca on 54 Varick Street.
