http://rockymountainnews.com/drmn/rapids/article/0,1299,DRMN_51_2753775,00.html Decent article about yesterday's game. Some of the best nuggets of info come from the bottom. "FUTURE IN DOUBT: Chris Carrieri was a notable absentee Tuesday. With the Rapids struggling to stay under the salary cap, Carrieri might be cut or traded. Rapids general manager Dan Counce, hopeful he can keep Carrieri on the squad, said the player's fate might be decided today. The Rapids are looking to sign one more player to the active roster, possibly David Castellanos, another reserve striker." If Counce isn't lying, today is d-day for CC and the whole cap problem. "TV REVISION: The Rapids' season opener at Dallas on April 3 still might be televised by Fox Sports Net, though the team and cable network have not worked out a schedule. Counce, who said last month that FSN would televise eight to 10 games, said Tuesday some Rapids home games might be aired this season." There is still hope for televised away games. Again, if Counce isn't lying.
Speaking of news articles... There's a great little feature of Google.com's News section. It's called News Alert. http://www.google.com/newsalerts?q=colorado+rapids&hl=en You sign up to have any news article link referencing the Rapids emailed to you once a day (or whenever it finds them). That's how I found the Miami newspaper article on Chung. The Rocky's article on Spencer was good reading, nice to actually be able to hear some thoughts from the Rapids' players.
