Is there a set number of rostered players WUSA teams can have for games like this?

Should be a good way to see who's got what.

I think the max number of players a team can bring into training camp is 28 or something like that. And probably liberal sub rules.

10 players? I've been looking around for news and nada. There'd better be something up later today. I swear, this league is hurting itself SO much w/ their news 'coverage'. Thanks for the info, Milbrett!

From the Breakers site-Our starting line-up:
San Jose - Podharski, Sanchez, French, Bryan, Chastain, Barr, Cook, Clemens, Katia, Venturini-Hoch, Hendershot.

No info on the subs. I counted 11 players, not 10. Can't go by much with this, assuming we did sub.

The Las Vegas Sun's online edition seems to be completely and totally useless. No help there.

I agree! I checked out the Boston Globe, the SF Gate and the SJ Mercury and got nothing. Only the Breakers site. Even the website for the event itself has nothing new.

Where is Kelly Lindsey? I missed the Cal scrimmage but it sounds like she didn't play in that one either. The other obvious omissions from this starting line up are Sissi and Pretinha. And Beene, of course.

She may still be recovering from her injury. Tisha hadn't played until last night. Sissi is probably still working on her shoulder. I guess Ian is trying other keepers out because Beene is pretty much guaranteed a spot. But when you scrimmage other WUSA teams, you should still give your regulars some time. She and the others you mentioned might have subbed in later. Boston's site only listed their subs.

The Cyberrays have a report up on their website now:

    http://www.sjcyberrays.com/news/rel_20030323.html

It really doesn't say much. It doesn't even list the starters, let alone the subs.

I wish the press department were a little more forthcoming in general.

  14. very happy to see mandy starting! :)
