    Whoa!

    I'm...

    1) embarrassed that I totally missed this the first time around...

    2) thrilled that the men's program at my alma mater has come such a long way in the 27 years since I rode the pine/manned the nets (mostly the former) for the Y...

    3) wondering if other schools who have their men's team stuck in Club-side Limbo might look at this as a way of getting around Title IX and the NCAA...

Remember this as well...BYU does nothing without the approval of Church HQ. The implications of that are...interesting, to say the least.

    I think this a complete list ...

    91 -- O'Brien (Ajax Academy)
    93 -- none
95 -- Gomez (Tahuichi Academy, does this count?)
    97 -- Kartes (Olympiakos)
99 -- Donovan (Leverkusen), Palomares (Kaiserslautern), Beasley (Galaxy), Trembly (Rapids)
01 -- Quaranta (DC United), Johnson (Burn)

Incidentally, there is a kid named Jay Denny who played with the U-17's over Christmas. He's one of the top prospects in Stoke City's youth system and has made appearances for their reserve team. I don't know why he isn't in the qualifying squad.

    honestly, no it wasn't

someone else already told me... i simply didn't know who he was, and someone told me he was on the "around the horn"... a horrible show... and i don't mean because they might say something against soccer... i mean because it's downright horrible television

Agreed. I remember him saying something negative about soccer (don't think it was on the show). I just want an excuse to arrest him and get him off my tv. Whiny little twit.

It was really ironic on Sportscenter on Friday. The anchor said that things were back to normal in boxing when a fight broke out at the Ruiz/Roy Jones Jr. weigh-in. Kellerman immediately says this is another example of mainstream media making a false, negative statement about boxing. He kept whining about it too. Its always boxing that gets these negative stereotypes.
