    The squad

Cudicini, de Goey, Melchiot, Gallas, Terry, Desailly, Babayaro, Le Saux, Gronkjaer, De Lucas, Lampard, Morris, Stanic, Zenden, Zola, Hasselbaink, Gudjohnsen and Cole.

    Sunday games..
Will be gone all day and will miss the game on the telly and the radio.Just don't like this Sunday game stuff at all.TV has got wayyyyyy to much say so in todays game and i for one would like to see a return to the traditional Saturday only games.

Anyways...Petit out again. So there goes our midfield i suppose. The long ball will be the order of the day in the end with him gone and no doubt Zola will get a start if so.Long ball to our "big man"...funny stuff. But it's not funny at all as we really need to get three points here.Droping two is not good enough if we want that final place.

I watched the toon game yesterday and i must say thay are value for where they are at and are only going to get better as time goes by.Flipin Woodgate played a blinder and could be their missing link.

    Must Win...

Well I just forked over the $15.95 for this match. This is a must win and we can get our 4th place back.

Zola, Jimmy, and Eidur all starting up front today, should be interesting.

I'm stuck at work using the BBC text commentary. Are we really playing a 3-4-3?

    Just got back in

Excellent result-only one that would keep our champions league drive alive really.
Eight games left and the final one is the scouse at home, pity they won today as well.

you look at our remaining fixtures and compare them to anyone of the other challengers. Really, it couldn't be any more favorable. If we don't do it this year there is no excuse.

    Me forts

Chelsea got the 3 points and did enough to get them. Could have had more goals. Jimmy Floyd had 3 good chances and the Jimmy of last season would have got at least one of them. Our midfield again looked flat with no creative or penetrating balls really being threaded through - Oh how we missed Manu and how we should have purchased David Dunn in the Transfer window. The passing game of the Chelsea past has been replaced by the long ball game of Chelsea present.

The defence and Keeper: Solid as always.

The middle: Lampard has had a great season, but he really should have scored more goals so far this year. Stanic nearly has as many goals as Lampard in far fewer games, most with his head - Maybe we should have kept Poyet? Le Saux looked ok, but not totally match fit. De Lucas and Morris both seemed to give away possession whenever they tried to do anything creative with the ball. Gronks had a great shot on goal and was unlucky not to score, but was also easily robbed by Clement on a couple of occasions.

Up Front: Eidur was out of sorts today. Jimmy really need to get his instincts back and start firing them in. Zola played better, once he played further forward.

    Possible top six finish

    Arse

    Manure

    Toon

    Chelsea

    Pool

    Blackburn

I think Everton have been excellent, but they will begin to drop away. Recent victories for Burn over Arse and The Chelsea will boost there confidence.
