From those two articles regarding the Burn's stadium proposals and interests in Frisco, sounds like it's nothing more than dotting i's and crossing t's.

Probably the best news so far, along the latest wave of the SSS front...

Hoping to hear some eyewitness accounts from area Burn fans as well, from those willing to attend...

everyone should pick a paper.. local paper, whatever

but pick a paper and write an email or letter (or call) to their sports department, asking for more soccer coverage...

be rude, harsh, kind, grateful, anything

just make sure it's clear that you want more coverage

Adu is already a superstar, The Post had Jason LaCanfora write about him. He usually is a Capitals, Wizards or ACC writer, so for him to take time out to watch this kid during the middle of his seasons (ACC tourney time) means that they're into the hype.

OK, I'll take a whack at it. If I had to register my votes...

My seven (as required for Hall of Fame election), in no particular order:

    George Best
    Ken Cooper
    Andranik Eskandarian
    Karl-Heinz Granitza
    Ray Hudson
    Ilija Mitic
    Bob Rigby

Just my opinion-- and perhaps there should be a thread devoted just to this as well. Great topic...

There may already be, or maybe I should start it-- but it's past my bedtime over here, and I can't be stuffed right now. :D

Can someone declare a nationwide moratorium on using "Much Adu..." in headlines? Thanks.

ya know something, the insightfull, thought out, long, level headed answers that Adu gives remind me a lot of Jordan.

I would hope all Burn fans go and talk about how wonderful the proposal is for Frisco.

Don't let there be even a shread of doubt in their minds!

    Probably more like:

    Adieu Adu, Auf viedersehen Adu...

    (Warning: Sound of Music reference)

Hey, as long as they don't use the word "kick", it's probably a step in the right direction.

And if when he scores a hat trick:

Adu, Adu, to you and you and you ?

Yeah, there probably should be a new topic, but I wasn't sure where it should go. Mods, please feel free to move this

I would vote for these 7 players:
    Carlos Alberto
    George Best
    Nene Cubillas
    Karl-Heinz Granitza
    Johan Neeskens
    Bob Rigby
    Hubert Birkenmier.

I was fortunate enough to see all of these guys play in the NASL, and although many were past their prime, they were still great players.

That link isn't working. For some reason %20 and a break sequence are inserted into the address.

    argh

it's not in my link, it's just what their site does... i can't say i'm a fan of it... i think it's pretty crappy that papers don't want their articles linked (north jersey herald, boston globe)

FYI, for the media watchers, I went to the Post home page midafternoon today and it had (as usual) one lead story with picture and 3-4 other stories highlighted on the initial page (looks like the front page of a newspaper) and one of them was the Adu article!
