Saw Mike on Sunday night and he's psyched for this. We're going to try to get the trophy there (we'll see). K
I talked to Mike about it on Sunday too, and he said it was going to be fun. I agree. But someone stole my suggestion for "The Moops" as a team name.
Hey when did I sign up?!?!?! I better not have a hot date on Thursday or you're in big trouble! And for the record, we're gonna do just like United, from that team that was expected to go nowhere, to CHAMPIONS! VAMOS DEMANATORS! Maybe we can get Dema to come and break some legs of our opponents!
5-6 rounds of general trivia questions with some soccer ones. Team play and Mike Petke is your host. To raise more $ you can buy answers for a buck (we'll explain how this works). People had a really good time at the last one (or so they told me!) K
Crap. I've already skipped my Thursday night class once (and I actually like it). And I usually kick ass at these things. I've been meaning to start going to these DC United related things. Maybe next time.
For you, we will just replay, well...any DCU match from the past few weeks and you will be too busy crying to concentrate on the trivia game...
Hell, all you have to do is mention the game if you want to get me started. But that would be unfair, now, wouldn't it? Cheater.
I'll just make a small replica of the MLS Cup and set it on his table, he'll stare at it the whole time, keep kissing it, and then throwing beer in the air, he'll think he's back in LA!
Damn, it looks like we're not going to be able to make it. Jan has been out sick all week. She was sick when we flew out to LA on Saturday, and it got worse. She went to see the doctor yesterday, and she has acute bronchitis. I tried to get her to stay home on Tuesday night, but she didn't want to hear it. She had to be at RFK. I certainly understand, but I think that made things worse. If anyone feels like dropping her an e-mail, PM me and I'll send your her address.
Ugh, sorry to hear Jan has gotten worse. I FINALLY crashed yesterday in the middle of watching the US game. But I'm rested and ready for tonight! Hope to see folks later K
Our Gooner firm laughs at such pathetic attempts at intimidation. There are many things worse than a shattered limb ... and we know all of them! GM
Hope to see some other BB and LN folks tonight too! (this event is open to all DCU peeps and their friends, there will be some non soccer questions too). K
Ah, but as part of The Freddy Adu Single Malt Scotch Society (from the pub quiz in February), I must inform you that I can answer questions from the English, Australian, Canadian, and American TP sets.
