    Let me get this straight:

We gave up the 16th pick in the draft (plus another pick next year) for a 36 YEAR OLD DEFENDER?????

Now I don't want to be a nattering nabob of negativity here, but that's just nuts.

    No, wait:

    He was born 12/17/1996.

    Doesn't that make him 37?????

    Come on now. That's ridiculous.

Not sure if I am a bitching fan or a whining fan (or if that wasn't directed at me at all) but I do find a little relief in the fact that at least some of the cRapids fans are upset to see Fraser leave. But the best quote is:

"But it's the Crew. Yeah, a logical person who trade a late rounder in 2004 or 4th rounder in 2005 (3rd rounder already to SJ), but the people in charge of the Crew are not logical. You never know what they're thinking."

That in regards to what conditional pick they will get from us.

    Good God.

I just did a quick check so I may be wrong here, but After Preki and Hristo (who may be retired) we just gave up a second round draft choice for the OLDEST GODDAM PLAYER IN MLS

After an initial horrible first 5 games to the year last year, Fraser went on to have a fine season.

Whether he has another one left in his 37 year old body is another question. He's a good leader in the back though (helped Borchers a lot), which I think is something Andrulis was looking for.

    Good luck!!

Maybe they thought he was Martin Keown.

That would make him 7. I'm surprised Flick didn't do an in depth analysis on this kid. Sounds like he could be the next Billy.

    Great.

I'm obviously having a nervous breakdown and you're cracking wise.

    Did Lee Smith send you?

I saw it when Bill posted it but, fearing Bill has had a rough time the last couple days, I let it go. There's only so much gin in northeast Ohio!

It's a compleate farce. A #16 pick and a pick next year probably the Crew's second round pick next year so it would leave us with no picks in the first three rounds next year.

Look if you want to gain leadership and the ability to help Marshall and Akwari to the next level, fine. THEN HIRE AN F'EN ASSISTANT COACH TO DO IT. Don't trade one of your second round picks for a 37 year-old to sit on your bench to do it and take up roster and salary cap room.

How about this, Andrulis, why the *#*#*#*# don't you be that *#*#*#*#ing leader we need in the lockeroom and why don't you be the mentor that will *#*#*#*#ing bring Marshall and Akwari along?

Why not? Because you know you can't do it. And he's our *#*#*#*#ing coach.

All I can say is, for what we gave up for him, most of his salary had better be on Colorado's ledger.
