What matches in 2nd. phase are you applying for?

Have you get something in 2nd. phase?

    Good luck to everybody! :)

This is going to be a long 2nd. phase!

"Within ten working days you will be notified, if your application is successful (fully or partly) or not." From fifa's email...

I guess it's not going to be like Germany 06 2nd phase when it was game by game basis?

I am guessing they will just show you all games available and you submit the application just like phase 1, except this time it's not a draw, first come first serve.

I already have 52, 54, 58, 60,62... eventhough the 2 other tickets I really want and would pay anything for are 61 and 64, not available this phase, so I'll go with 2 more games around Johannesburg area where I will be...
50, 55 .. and if like Germany we can release some tickets and go for others, ill do just that if 61 and 64 should appear in phase 3-4-5

    Good luck everyone

    I'm going to apply in phase 2, for Cat 3, R16: 50, 52, 54, 55 & QF 58 & 60 .

All of them in Johannsburg area.

And in phase 3, for the semis & final.

We're all going to Johannesburg then? Good. I expect we'll all get the tickets we want in the meantime, but if we don't there might be some potential for swapping after all. As it stands I have 2 spare cat3s for 52 and a couple of the later group games in that area.

Good luck in Phase 2, everyone.

Yes, but that's in a paragraph that begins "For South African football fans who wish to apply at FNB Branches..." It's not talking about our online applications.
I bet it is. Grab some tickets and run.

so will we know straight-away whether we got the tickets or will we know after 10 days? and will the payment be deducted straight away or later?
any tips to tweak some settings of the browser to have a better chance at the tickets?
i use chrome, but i also have opera and the others....which is the best one?

My guess would be that it'll just be the tickets left over from phase 1. There'll probably be plenty available at places like Polokwane and Rustenburg, and hardly any, if any at all, left at the more popular venues.

It wouldn't susprise me if all the tickets are gone within the day. I think most will be gone within an hour. If people out there are using scripts to get tickets then even people who log on after 1 minute will probably fail to get anything, unless they are happy with the less popular venues.

forgive my ignorance but what on earth are scripts?

Computer programs that don't require human interaction. So basically you set it up to log in, grab and purchase the tickets as fast as a computer can. Much quicker than human hands.
Unless the layout is identical to the Confed Cup tickets that are up right now, programmers wouldn't know how to write the script though, correct? You'd have to know the layout and progression of the pages first.

Not a huge amount of options for me due to the 5 games I have already, and wanting a clear day for travel between all games.

I'll go for the two that I failed to get (A3 v A4 in Cape Town on the opening day) and H2 v H4 in Port Elizabeth on the 21st. I applied for Cat 2 (or lower) tickets and failed, so it depends if Cat 1 sold out or not.

My only other option is H1 v H3 at Ellis Park on the 21st.

I did consider A2 v A3 in Rustenburg on the 22nd, but travel to/from there looks poor.

Are TST 3,4,5 available in Phase 2 ticketing? I can't tell from FIFA website.

I think they will have a few available. (fifa makes some profit from TST series that they sell & team doesn't make it to the WC).

I think it starts at 3 AM PST.

Does anyone know if it will be possible to get USA tickets from the USSF after they officially qualify?

should be able to. i was able to get some for Germany 2006 thru USSF AFTER the draw had already happened. check ussoccer.com bc they recently started the US Supporter's Club and this will get you priority access to tickets.

I think there will be LOADS of TSTs. FIFA have only said 39 teams were oversubscribed in Phase 1. Mostly the ones that will be left will be for the dozens of teams that aren't going to qualify, but also some half-decent or even decent ones will be available, I reckon. Last time round in phase 2 I picked up a TST5 for Poland easily enough, thinking they had a decent chance of getting there. They did.

Also, I expect there to be TST6s and TST7s.

I might try that match. When the time comes, transport ought to be doable, sharing a hire car from Joburg with 4 other fans if necessary, but surely there will be other means laid on.

Yeah, but what teams? Most of the ones available will be a waste of money.

Id take my chances with any team for a TST7 and see the final...

And more? I'm just wondering how long your list is, how low you would go :)

    Ecuador? New Zealand? Sudan??

I've no idea what your chances are like, of course.

Looks like tickets went on sale 1 hour early. Guess I'm screwed.

It is what we thought, all you do is submit an application and wait 10 days..this is a total farce

Well, I didn't think that, so I was totally wrong.

Apparently: "All successful applicants will be notified of their success via email within three to five days after the draw."
