that's barely even a good a-league team worth of talent. so long to these clowns...make way for the next batch of minimum wage losers.
Villegas was playing in an amateur league in Jersey last week. He said he needed a workout. I guess he knew what was coming.
Albright Sure am surprised to see Chris Albright not on the waiver roster. Also Forko is quite good imo I think he could get picked up. Just my .02
I'm not much good at predictions, but looking at that list I would think that Gonzales, Titus and Waibel are likely to be picked up, and the rest of the list consigned to the scrap heap.
Luchi Gonzalez was an excellent college player. However, IMO, he's simply not good enough for MLS right now. [edited to note that Gonzalez is young enough to be a Development Player next season -- can a team draft him off waivers, then renegotiate his contract?] Anybody know why Chicago dumped Saavedra? Is it because they have too many P-40's and Development Players in the pipeline? If so, there may be other teams with roster space for him.
I always thought Titus was pretty good, but I guess he's not worth a SI spot. Someone should pick up Saavedra. He's only like 18 or 19 isn't he?
I think something is up re Miguel S. He has too much promise to just be dumped. Something must be arranged re one of the other clubs (which of course doesn't explain why he was traded by Dallas in the first place). I'd be surprised if more than 5 players are taken.
Three, actually. Waibel to SJ. Luchi to the Crew. Sleeth to the Rapids. I know, cos I know. That, and I got an email.
Sleeth to Colorado: They probably need a young defender to replace Titus who was out of favor with coach after "that comment" on Dallas. Waibel to San Jose: A replacement for Zak Ibsen. Gonzalez to Columbus: same comment as Flashman.
