Going to post after window closes. Think top 7 in prem this season is really going to be a fantastic race though, overall.

A few unpredictable tiers for me:

    Liverpool
    City

    Tottenham
    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    Man Utd

    West Ham
    Newcy
    Villa
    Palace
    BHA
    Wolves
    Leicester

The rest could all be at risk for a regulation battle IMO.

Our next 5 games. How many points will we pick up from these?

    • Wolves [H]

    • Chelsea [A]

    • Brighton [H]

    • Arsenal [A]

    • Manchester City [H]

In recent seasons we'd go into that run of games feeling confident of good results, incl no losses. But at this point, when you add in the CL games during that period, it's hard to feel anything but huge concern. All of them are playing better than us.

And god help us if Thiago comes back and we lose him right away again .... or even worse if Fab gets a knock .... that could see Bajcetic dropped in at 6 for a huge game.

I would not start Thiago in Naples. Maybe even hold him out this week.

It is scary , massively scary. I think we can take 3 pts from Wolves but after that?

We may not get any from the rest unless our form turns around.

It's early days. I think we'll be OK if, yes it's a big if, we can't get and stay healthy. Nobody seems to be unbeatable. This may be our tough time of the season and we'll catch as the season progresses.

even worse ....how about this next 9 games?

    NAPOLI
    • Wolves [H]
    AJAX
    • Chelsea [A]
    • Brighton [H]
    RANGERS
    • Arsenal [A]
    RANGERS
    • Manchester City [H]

almost impossible to ease off in any of those fixtures, and zero room for risking more players due to injury caused by exhaustion.

and THEN we have in a 16 day period:
    West Ham[H]
    Forest A
    Leeds H
    AJAX
    NAPOLI

    Spurs A

    :(:(:(

Every game sounds tough when you're playing like shit. One game at a time. We all have written this team off in previous seasons only for them to magically become world-beaters again overnight.

    Trust Klopp

I don't think we've ever looked this clueless though in those seasons. 20/21 doesn't count once we were in CB hell. Apart from that - maybe we have a couple of small rough patches here and there - usually surrounded by playing really well before hand.

We've never started a season like this.

I trust in Klopp. Barring an injury meltdown later in the season we’ll find a way to snatch fourth, maybe even third. No trophies, but we’ll be in the CL places and then it’s up to the owners to support Klopp with some acquisitions.

City, Arsenal, and United all look destined for top 4, as far as I'm concerned. On top of that Spurs won't be pushed out easily, Chelsea have the kind of side that can get results against anyone (at least from a defensive-first standpoint, in terms of grinding out a 0-0 or 1-1), and on paper LFC look like they too should also make it.

So obviously something's got to give.

When LFC get healthy I think they will be managed by Klopp to put together a good run.
I feel like City will definitely go on a long run of wins, they always seem to every single season.
Of the sides most likely to slip up, I'd suggest it's Chelsea, perhap followed by United and Spurs...
But it could be basically anyone except City, the side I think of as almost impossible to miss top 4.

LFC are digging themselves a hole and I don't know when they will get out of it, so it complicates things. I would be more comfortable predicting top 4 if juuuust a few of recent close calls had gone their way, and they had a few more points at this stage. It wouldn't have taken all that much -- yesterday could have quite easily been a 2-1 win or so, for instance -- but as it stands, with this form, we're left asking when the turnaround to more consistent play will come. And if injury bad luck and finishing bad luck continues, LFC could easily be in a position in 2 months from now where they are very practically on the outside looking in.

Brighton have been impressive, but I assume they will fall off.
Doesn't really look like anyone else is a legit threat to top 4, to me.

I'm going to go ahead and predict at the end of the day it goes...

    City
    Liverpool
    Man United
    Arsenal

    Spurs
    Chelsea

    Relegated:
    Bournemouth
    Forest
And... someone. Leicester? I'm wondering if Rodgers gets sacked and the new manager gets a bump to bring them above the relegation zone. I really don't know. Don't think it will be the likes of Villa or West Ham, but it's hard to say.

    CL:
Hard to call... Bayern, Real Madrid, and City always look like they will be a serious threat at this stage.
I'd love Liverpool to be involved again in the latter rounds, but again it's hard to expect that from where we currently stand.

    Europa League:
Would imagine both Arsenal and United can really make a run here.
And am also intrigued by Roma.

    Domestic Cups:
Manchester clubs feel like a real threat here this season.

    Top scorer:
Gotta be Salah, with the chances he gets & him being on pens.

    Top assists:
    Going with Robbo this season.

    Most improved:
Harvey seems to have a great opportunity here, and Bobby is also fast-tracked considering his hot start.

    Best signing:
Has to be Darwin. If it's not, things have gone somewhat pear-shaped.

My only prediction. I would have been mocked unmercifully if I’d have posted what I knew but have come true since.
