He has been figured out now. It happens to coaches after a while.

 

He doesn't get enough service. Complained when Di Lo won high, but crossed low to another player rather than play Osi into goal. Di Lo not confident in himself/Osi to have made that cross.

Chucky put in a good cross but once he was hurt, nothing. The only shot I saw Osi had at net was one he made himself. He had to take the ball down on his chest with defender on his back, ran at that defender plus another two defenders and had keeper to beat, takes a shot outside the box, granted it's shit a shot, but just to make that chance was incredible. Very difficult skill that chest control and he nails it a lot.

We play as a proper team. Fantastic to watch this team RN. Everyone plays for each other. No egos.

 

After yesterdays brilliant performance in Udine, this is even more possible now

Sarri is still a good coach. But is working with less rn at Lazio who have a shoe string budget. Just look at his pivot at Lazio Cataldi. A very modest talent to say the least. His ideas about the game are still very modern and he would still do good if given the chance at a big club.

Italian soccer is upside down. You have Allegri and Mourinho who are given more money to cause terrorism on fields across Italy while good coaches like Sarri who won a Uefa cup and then scudetto are downgraded to Lazio for wtv reason

 

Well, it is all kind of complicated and complex. Allegri also won the Scudetto with Juve, but you should hear Juve fans talk about him now.

 

The only way Allegri can win is if he has the best team on paper. If he doesn’t, which is Juve right now, he is completely exposed. Juve have no game.

 

A win away from home against Lazio was necessary after drawing Lecce mid-week. Big result for us in what will be a tight race for top 4.


Now we wait for the Liverpool game before taking on Spezia next Saturday.



This schedule is ridiculous. Practically no time for the team to rest + practice.

 

Trap game this weekend against Spezia. Thankfully in our home stadium. Need to take care of business early so we can rest players for the trip to Scotland.

 

The game will tell us of we have matured or not.

 

To be fair Spezia had the entire week to rest and prepare for us while we've been focusing on Liverpool since the Lazio game.

I do think a win would be huge but I don't think it'd show we've matured, rather how strong our depth really is.

 

And I hope the game against Lecce was not an indicator of that. We shall see on Saturday. Good game yesterday, had to watch a replay, I'm working nights now due to time zones, ffs.

 

We're looking fantastic RN. Everyone of our players are doing Maradona pirouettes. Rafa says Kvara is probably the best player in Serie A. Thinking about the post he hit against Lazio, maybe he's almost there.

Not only that, he was earning almost 4 times as much money.

 

I can't believe Kvara is already the Insigne upgrade.

 

Kvara still has some way to go and needs to keep fit, but he's on the right path.

They don't make many like Mertens. He's one of the smartest players the game has seen in the modern era. It takes a special player to top Maradona's goal record with Napoli.

I don't want to take too much away from Insigne. He gave us some great moments. Maybe he could have demanded more of himself. In saying that, he might have left Napoli sooner. That will probably be the case with Kvara. I can't see him staying for long if he keeps performing at this level and gets even better.

 

Kvara is a more direct player that adds speed and height, and finds spaces when he ventures into the central areas. Previous seasons were spent trying to slowly build from the left, which is an ancient style of game in comparison to what is needed today.

Not a natural striker. First fear years a sub. Mertens is really something else.

 

Ndombele has to show something today

 

Some good actions in the half, but we’re not testing the keeper. Spezia are flooding the middle and playing with a big defensive block. Bad planning from Spalletti as this was more of a game for Simeone.

Elmas is not a replacement for Zielinski. He is not a good player for the 3/4s. He does well until the final moment and usually always makes a bad decision. I think this is our big issue right now. Our second choice players are not cutting it. Ndombele is a downgrade from Lobotka. Spalletti needs to experiment until he has the right formula. Why not try Gaetano in that spot? He’s a decent passer of the ball
