I always wonder how you can forward such arguments with so much bravado. I have always been the first to criticize Rui, as I have never liked his entitlement and self-deception, but even I have to admit that he has been pivotal this season. It is easy to forget that he has 5 assists in 12 games played, whereas DiL has 2 in 15. I don't think I need to mention how many points we have gained solely thanks to these 5 assists. Hope the Slovak coach, an Italian, will be bold enough to see that it is pointless to call up players like Lobotka to play useless friendlies. We are at the level of San Marino atm, if Lobo gets injured for that, I will kick the Italian coach in the nuts.
Why bold? I am saying Ostigard is far better than JJ who is slow and in every game exposed. I prefer Olivera to Rui but they can alternate.
I feel the same way about JJ, but JJ has shown some consistency, and I appreciate him for that. I highlighted the impressive stats of Rui this season to show that it should be difficult for us to bench him. Using 'far superior' just did not seem correct.
The whole Juve board, including Andrea Agnelli, resigned. Maybe we can sign some Juve players, starting with Chiesa please.
This past Sunday we beat Crystal Palace in a friendly. We have another when Napoli take on Villarreal on Saturday.
Against Alayanspor, the reigning Turkish champions, Spalletti tried out different formations, including a 3-4-2-1. He said that with Raspdori, who is humble and willing to sacrifice for the team, anything can be done.
Lost 2-3 to Villarreal this past Saturday. 2 of their goals came after Spalletti made some big changes. Next game tomorrow against Osimhen's former club, Lille.
Corriere dello Sport claims Inzaghi plans to man-mark our players tomorrow. Kvara will probably get double-marked.
It was always going to be tough and the result in the friendlies suggested we were lacking something.
Spalletti spent some time in the firendlies tinkering around to get Raspori to start without messing up the mechanics too much of what worked so well before the break. Raspadori will be key, especially if teams copy Inter's approach and nullify Kvara. Needs to start both imo, even if that means dropping Osi.
In a presser after the loss to Inter, Spaletti said there will be 3 or 4 changes going into the next game (tomorrow vs Samp). There's a report Kvara is a doubt for tomorrow. Some fitness issue.
