Looks bit chaotic and I love it. But I saw a pic recently showing single-tiered stand behind goals. In this article that is not the case.
not official, but marca posted list of 11 spanish stadiums. valencia, vigo, gijon and murcia not listed anymore. three stadiums in portugal are known (2x lisbon and porto), leaving morocco open, guess also three or rather four will make the list hier the marca pic:
I think they are all so pissed off with lim that they are simply giving him the finger otherwise, yes, shame indeed. great city!
Member associations hand over bid books for 2030 and 2034 editions of the FIFA World Cup™: https://inside.fifa.com/about-fifa/...-2030-and-2034-editions-of-the-fifa-world-cup Bid books about to be published for both. Infantino trying to push both through as quickly as possible.
I also get the feeling the FIFA Congress “vote” for each bid will be towards the end of the year in December, when people get busy with festivities and pay less attention to the FIFA “process”.
Bid books also published for 2030: https://inside.fifa.com/about-fifa/bidding-processes/bidding-process-wc-2030
Morocco is building a 115,000-seater "Grand Stade Hassan II" for the 2030 World Cup. If so, it will be the largest football stadium in the world. Looks impressive. Let's not think about what they are going to do with it after the World Cup...
Or how one would even get there. Doesn't exactly look like it's in the middle of the city, or even on the edge of it.
I think Casablanca will finally use this to build the metro they've been trying to build. That or they expand the commuter rail to the stadium.
Enhancing infrastructure for big sports events is nice and one of the reasons to hold them in the first place. But will they be able to sustain such a stadium after the World Cup? I doubt it. There are only a handful teams in the world able to gather such crowds for every home game, and none of those teams play in Morocco. And top show or global events do not happen every week or month too.
