I'm glad they didn't award that cheap penalty call. They didn't need it, found the net anyway.

I think Mbappe will probably reach a goal scoring record in WC that will be almost impossible to beat. 20+ goals...

Getting the urgency and guy check early seems good in some cases. Some of these teams think you can just walk through teams because their talent level is lower, it's harder and harder to do that teams know how to hurt you and a wake up call can help.

Mbappe is terrifyingly good. It's like he is playing career mode in the easiest setting.

Senegal is a good damn team. I think from this group we will see a very strong 3rd spot

Have CONMEBOL just been slacking with modern football?
We seem so slow at times when playing other contients

Still they are just one loss from being eliminated. Norway-Senegal will be really interesting. Very unpredictable.

Having Olise and Mbappe on the same team is a cheat code

Throughout history Europe has had the teams and South America the star players. This year it's reverse to me. The only thing that gives me a little hope in Brazil may be Ancelotti that they somehow will be smart tactically and be effective and overcome their opponents that way. But player wise they are weaker and can't really measure up with France.Even Spain and England seem hard to match. Argentina seems good though and have gotten some promising new names even though not as many as the European sides.

then there's dembele and doue. and on top of that, cherki and barcola off the bench. just a sickening level of depth.

Lol that last shot by Iraq was so convincing that the scoreboard for a second showed 2-2! Very entertaining match!

Expansion has been a success so far. Teams that probably would not have made it in the 32 team format are competing harder than most of us thought they could.

I'm glad Iraq didn't end up in our group, they look dangerous. But we've yet to see Congo/Uzbekistan.

Brazil is pretty bad they can improve but their midfield and fullbacks are terrible and when up against the good sides and under pressure it's a big weakness. Argentina is a good team and can go far, we are probably the next hope if we can get back close to our previous form into the COPA but not super confident. Ecuadors defense is great but attack is ass, and Uruguay just don't seem to have an elite level to their game. Spain, England, France and probably Portugal can really tear you apart if they hit their top form.

it was funny watching this, the set pieces were the biggest give aways, not a chance in hell for those little Mesopotamians up against 6 foot plus norse gods
