or beat curacao by a big margin. I think with 3 points and a big goal differential that they'll be good

it was a tight game.. i thought a tie would be more fair but Ivory Coast has some solid players..
    it was a nice play.

big defeat for them, i think they expected more

Bizarre. Sweden from almost not qualifying kick ass in the opening. 4-1.
I had a feeling this could happen. Now all they need to do is get a point vs Holland or Japan.
I hope sweden and the Japanese will qualify. :D

This was Newcastle Isak. Love the attacking pair.

Sweden are certainly in the right mindset with such a result. I am getting increasingly restless for our opener...

    they looked brutal at times.

Tunisia were also really bad, half of the goals were bad messups from the gk and the defenders

Yeah I actually made a little money on the game I bet against them. I was afraid this could happen, reminded me of their exit last time also against african opponents. It's the worst kind of opposition for ecuador because they can't muscle them down and even if the african teams also suck at finishing many times, they don't reach the inefficiency of ecuador. They will eventually find the net.

Ecuador can't manage pause or tempo of the game. They went all in for the 3 points until the last minute and were punished for it. I wish they could've just settled for the draw in the end. This defeat was really devastating for them.

However I don't think Germany will beat both these opponents. Germany obviously creates more danger but they also allow more in defense, so it will be more open games. So it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of the teams will get some points from them. Ecuador may have an advantage here because they face Germany last.
I doubt ecuador will score more than 2 goals vs Curacao.

People around here love making fun of the Colombian mentality and psyche but Ecuador’s is worse.
Here they are with a good young team with all the expectations from pundits and commentators and they fall flat on their face yet again. We also saw it last major tournament when they lost to Venezuela in the Copa. They are just not good mentally when it comes to this sort of tournament setup.
In qualifying they can manage well and rely on getting many points at home and draws/ occasional wins away but Cup football is a different animal.

A bit exaggerating. I didn't think they were that bad. Start of the second half sweden were pressured and they could've found an equalizer. Of course after 3-1 they looked like curacao.

.... Ecuador lost to a team in the last moment that beat France before the WC.

You guys act like they lost to Haiti. Let's see how they recover. Hopefully they get a 3rd place finish

Ivory Coast is a good team. They have quality offensive players. #11 destroyed Hincapie all game. and Hincapie is a good defender.

Ecuador struggles with goals. nothing new there.

Yeah well they beat France in a friendly that is arguably better than Germany. That will be a really interesting game.I thought they played dirty at times though.
