They double team him alot now, for us we need to have a threat on the other wing to stretch the field, because often the only 1v1 threat on that side was Rios pulling out there but against a low block Rios runs on the ball isn't enough.

Australia bunkered down hard, total anti football, Lumped the ball at their african forward who had like infinite speed and scored with the 2 shots they had. Turkey had lunged forward with their whole team and got caught completely exposed repeatedly

Turkey had the ball the whole game, passed around over and over no clue what to do with the ball, had opportunites sporadically, refused to shoot at goal and the few they had were saved by the goalkeeper all game long.

guess who won the game? lol.

and Turkey are very talented, loads of great players, Kenan Yildiz came on and tried too but nothing.

 

Well as I recall when we played the Aussies we only opened the score through a penalty in the last 15 mins of the game. So it's a tough team to break down. The 3-0 didn't really tell the story.

The penalty was a bit cheap, and the other 2 goals was their goalie acting Higuita.

That game could easily have ended 0-0.

 

they kept trying to put the ball up high for a header but Aussie defenders are pretty tall

 

All the non euro and south american continents are doing great

 

More the reason why we can’t ease up on anyone even with a lead and why you can’t waste any chances on goal.

Same thing likely happened with Turkey vs Australia. Aussies made the most of their 200 passes while Turkey had 600+ passes
