Norway is my darkhorse with their firepower, but they also allow a lot of goals. Sweden made it on the longest odds possible, after failing the direct quailification badly, but I think they're as good as they showed in the playoffs, which honestly speaking, is not that good. Mexico, Colombia and Uruguay should have no problem getting out of the group round, but how well they do from then on, hinges on the rivals they face. I have them facing Belgium, Croatia and Argentina respectively in the round of 32, so though matches for all of them. Aftter that it could be Bosnia, Spain and Egypt, which would work for Mexico or Uruguay, but sucks for us.
I think Norway has a solid aquad specially on the offense. Also given their tactical discipline and physicality i would given them as my darkhorse
When it comes to Sweden I meant underrated in the sense that there is probably not 34 teams that are better than them. Not that I think they're going to repeat their 1994 third place. But they have a very exciting and difficult to predict group. I love the contrast of styles with the physically big guys holland and sweden vs Japan. Tunisia looks weak in the warm up games so maybe 3 teams will qualify from that group.

I do have a soft spot in my heart for Quiñones though but if Mexico loses I will not shed a single tear.
Yeah Norway have a good squad and a guy who can get goals against anyone, I worry about the euro teams like them though in this heat, same with England good physical team but the heat will kill you. It really is a shame we have dropped off since COPA, we likely along with Mexico will be the best supported team at this tournament and like Mexico and the rest of SA we are used to playing in intense heat.

World Cup ticket sales have been a disaster.FIFA held back tickets to create artificial scarcity, launched its own resale platform with a 15% fee for both buyers and sellers, and now there are still 180,000 tickets available for purchase.READ: https://t.co/3UKLVaM6IM pic.twitter.com/Ubsoskr4xd— Joe Pompliano (@JoePompliano) June 10, 2026
I saw someone talking about a theory that made a lot of sense, Infantino came into power because of what the FBI and US government did to the FIFA president and board. Infantino seems to be acutely aware of who he has to keep happy in order to rob and steal with impunity, he's made FIFA more corrupt but he's paying off the Americans to keep them happy. Trump is a mob boss, you give him a cut and let him get in on the action and you're safe to operate.
that kinda makes sense as Blatter was ousted for corruption but FIFA has gotten more and more greedy under Infantino more random tournaments popping up, expanding tournaments, weird hosting allocation etc
Fun conspiracy theory except Blatter was investigated under the Obama Administration’s Department of Justice. Which Trump hated.
