Alright tomorrow is the draw 12PM EST.

I've seen a lot of draw simulations where we end up with either Portugal or Germany; I personally hope that regardless of whatever "top" team we face, we end up at a set of stadiums that allows us to travel and make the seats yellow.

The good news is that almost every scenario will have a majority filled stadium with yellow other than the hosts.
We are basically the home team in the stands in any Group.

Still, I have no doubt that Colombia will qualify from the Canada group, but there is a high chance of not making it out of a group with Spain, Egypt and Italy.

It depends on the draw. I'd say I like our chances, and we're probably good for round of 16, and with some luck we could make it a little further, but I will not be overconfident.

Anything less than a QF exit will be viewed as a failure for me

QF onward has so many considerations and variables.

with that said - it’s now 8:09 am. 4 hours until the draw. Bring it!!!!

depends on the groups and who we get in knockout

if we have 2 semi finalist in our group then fk man what can you do, in last 32 we get a team that goes to the final again fk what can you do

what I don't want is to completely puss out in the game that knocks us out like we did vs Brazil and England. I blame the coach for England but vs Brazil that was a mentality issue. Getting past that game and we were champions. Not sure we would have beaten France in 2018 but again we should defiantly have beaten England who we kind of did when we decided to play in the last 10 minutes with a offensive mf

I just ran several draw simulations, and I'd say that in more than half we end up being second in our group, and because of that, we face tough rivals in the round of 32 (England, Croatia, Brazil, Uruguay).

Even when we get a favorable draw and win the group, the path to the final is not easy at all. One of the simulations had us facing Turkey, France, Brazil, Spain and England, which I think it is not realistic, but shows how difficult a WC could be.

Junior will choke, if not in the last game of the playoffs, in the second leg of the final. Mark my words.

Not a good omen for the NT.

    Junior tu Papa, pendejo :)

I hate Junior ever since the they wouldn't allow the other barranquilla team to use the stadium owned by the National team. Fk them and the Chars

2014 World Cup - we gave Brazil too much space and respect until the final few minutes of the game when we started to show more physicality. fast forward to a year later in the 2015 copa america, we beat Brazil 1-0 in the group stage in one of the biggest dog fight games we put up that i can recall. that style of play would have won us in 2014...

2018 world cup - triple cinco says it all. poor tactics by Pekerman and playing not to lose. first sub was Bacca? why replace Lerma with a striker when we keep losing the ball in the midfield and two other CM's had yellow cards.... that shit still bugs me to this day...

    Same thing all over again.

    We feared them.

Not this time. This team has confidence and a nice touch of arrogance that is needed to decide games.

I worry not who we will face as they are experienced playing and dominating in the US of A. We always show up dominating the stands and this team has the mindset needed to push themselves.

This 100% guaranteed, not by any means. But I know that we have the means to challenge for the World Cup. This is the best Colombian side we have in history and I don't think I am exaggerating about that.
