Pekerman was just annouced by Telemundo as an in house analyst for the World Cup. Going to be really interesting to hear what he has to say about the team and his buddy Lorenzo. I doubt he will be too critical but you never know.
8 years ago he sounded like a 90 year old man.... so as an analyst its going to be be tough hearing him talk
The Telemundo commentary is better than the Univision commentary. I hate listening to that Perro Bermudez guy. My uncle tried putting the caracol comentary in his local radio once and muted the game on telemundo, that was so out of sync goals were happening before the video footage displayed the actual goal. My uncle is stuck well it's better than listening to those Telemundo guys. I disagreed, at that point just pay for a VPN if you're that desperate for Caracol/RCN commentary.
Jhon Duran has a chance!! Lol 🚨THE ATHLETIC:FIFA is expected to agree to wipe all yellow cards at the end of the World Cup group stages and the quarter finals to reduce danger of players missing knockout matches. pic.twitter.com/FJcFtAqaGH— Brasil Football 🇧🇷 (@BrasilEdition) April 27, 2026
Seems like Miami and FIFA learned some valuable lessons from the Copa America debacle. There's going to be major security at the stadium and limited parking- for people who have tickets only. There's going to be ticket checks at shuttle bus stations before hoping on going to the matches and then again when you get off the bus at a ticket checkpoint close to the stadium. J-Mezzy and others going, give yourself plenty of time to travel. The shuttle buses will be accessed from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Metrorail Station, Brightline (train) Aventura, Golden Glades Intermodal Station and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel. (They are Free.)
the 2.5 hour wait in 90+ degree weather outside the gates of the copa america final was an experience for the books. people packed liked sardines, seeing others pass out, children crowd surfed and bum rushers getting slammed to the ground and handcuffed by Miami PD was surreal. by the time i got through - i had pretty much sweated as much as someone would in a hot yoga class. i bought 5 bottles of water as soon as i got through....
This will be a night game and people will be entering in an orderly fashion. At least that is what they expect with all these security checkpoints and limited parking.
That would be insane. But he is better than Santos Borre at current form. All these Colombian media rumors are usually trash though.
almorzado y solo is how i like my games.. I asked about the fanzone as if im a 20 something ready to party.. i dont event drink lmao
Posibilidades de ser llevados al mundial en mi opinión es la siguiente: Suarez (90%) Cordoba (70%) Borré (40%) Cucho (30%) Duran (15%) Cassierra (10%) Other guys that might be considered if there's an incredibly unfortunate injury crisis: Roger Martinez (7%) Dayrron (5% for kicks)
More than likely you are right. But looking at the other side of the coin... ...Nobody really thought he would call Dayro. I thought that was a joke when I first heard the Colombian media rumors. And he ended up being called by Lorenzo. Heading into the Copa America nobody really thought he would call up Miguel Borja and he ended up being called up. And similar to Viveros he was never called up prior to that Cup. So you never know. That said, I like your percentages for the most part.
it could be a huge morale booster for a player given a golden opportunity like that.. he would want to prove himself.. I guess we also have to see the upcoming friendlies if there are any new faces
We should know the list before the friendlies. They are due by May 30th officially, the next friendly is the day before. The Federation's social media will probably do some strange revealing video a week before that to present us who has made the cut.
I was thinking about Ibarbo when posting my post. He scored a goal against Belgium and that gave him a ticket to Brasil. Then he never scored again.
It's crazy to think that Ibarbo is a Calgari legend. Also he's still playing and not reitred, so if we want to talk about hypothetical crazy call ups. Calling him up again would be insane. He does play in the RW.
interesting how when we lost Falcao due to injury pre 2014 world cup we went from a 2-striker formation (Falcao-Teo) to a lone striker formation and pretty much never reverted back to a 2-striker formation...not even as a test in friendlies
