French players were all born and raised in France. They didn’t nationalize their players

on the other hand, a lot of players were born in Europe

Not only France. Morocco also has players born in Netherlands and Spain.

You're right. France is more Africa as a whole.

  6. I don't think you know those Moroccan players have Dutch/French/Belgian/Spanish passports, but chose to play for their parents country instead of the country they were born in raised and got their football education from.

Yeah what doogs is accusing France of, it’s actually Morocco who did it

the players for France were born and developed in France

    Not surprising.

Next week on Friday December 5th, we will know who we have to deal with.

Being in the USA group would suck because all the group games would be on the west coast. I hated “94 when all the games were in California. Would suck if that happens again.

Mexicos Group would suck cause the matches would be at altitude and/ or smog. That and it would suck that Colombia would not be able to play in the USA until the round of 16 (assuming we got that far in those crappy elements. )

Canada would suck because those are the smallest stadiums. And most of the games in their group (not in Canada) are also on the west coast.

Belgium I guess would be my pick as long as the games are east coast or east of the Mississippi really. Plus they are the team that usually travels the worst as supporters so it will be guaranteed 90-99% Colombian fans against them.

Honestly France, Argentina, and Spain are the only ones that I would be worried about. Anyone else like Portugal, Germany, Brazil and England can be troublesome but still significantly more approachable than those three.

Are we allowed to be grouped with Argentina or Brazil? Any rule prohibiting more than one Conmebol nation in one group?

No teams from the same confederation can be in the same group.

    Neither was I.

A friend of mine from England was able to get tix last week and could only get tix for a group game in Seattle. He tried looking for MetLife (NY-NJ) games but had zero success.

At this point, I’ll just wait to see what group we are in and do a mini vacation if I can get tickets at a reasonable price. I would have a hard time paying $1,000 for a ticket to see us play Cape Verde or Curaçao.

that is why I didn't get group stage tickets $400 in Boston, NY, Toronto, Philly ...... no idea who was going to play that why I got NY and Boston round of 32 games. Almost got round of 16 games but sold out when I went to pay for them. You had to buy 1 set of tickets at a time

Yikes. So much for that. I will have to settle for when the world cup comes around and spend more money for less games per match.

The worst scam FIFA did this go around was were you could pay a fee for the right to buy city packages.

that should be illegal. Literally charging fan $600 to have the right to buy tickets and avoid the draw. On top of that, you don’t even know who the hell will play. Shameful really

I missed out on the last 16 games because I was like the price can no be correct....

the cheapest ticket was $400. when I went back to check the last 32 and group stage games and also $400 without them telling you where you are sitting just Cat 1 or category 2. I am going to eb super pissed if I dropped 1800 and am sitting behind the goalie
