    What are our possible paths?

Toronto round of 32 if we finish second

    what if we finish first?

also then what would be our subsequent Quarters possibilities

For round of 32 will be either KC or Toronto on July 2nd/3rd. Round of 16 Arlington or Vancouver, 6th and 7th. From a logistical POV, it is better to be 2nd (KC, Arlington). LOL.

Winning our group would be the thing for us; assuming all groups go with the results of the expected favorites, would you rather face Spain in the round of 16 or Argentina in the quarter finals?

We have a better chance of challenging a weakening Argentina and then eventually facing Spain in the final of the world cup.

exactly yeah, neither option is particularly better than the other but finishing in first is more beneficial.

we would even have a possibility of ending up with Uruguay if that happens

I guess the federation just got access and applications before hand? The demand is crazy.

    Wow he hyped us up.

If Colombia is good enough to beat Spain, they are good enough to beat Germany...

Even so I would assume Spain as the favored team to win even if we have the means to challenge them. They are the number 1 favorites in my eyes.

Lot's of people are hyping us up. Hopefully we live up to it. As I usually say, a lot can happen between now and June.

Hopefully we are healthy and mentally ready.

this dynamic pricing scheme is disgusting. And FIFA getting 15% off of resales is another money grab. I looked into one of their hospitality packages for MetLife NY/NJ -
    4 ticket package -
    2 group games +
    1 QF game +
final. Good seats with food and drink included, special parking area and some VIP access.

    $250,000 before taxes :cautious:

To be fair, if FIFA did not set it up this way then scalpers and secondary market websites would make all of the profits by price gouging.
I rather FIFA get that money than some random ticket scalpers who just buy tickets only to sell them again at 10 x the price.

haha, not to me. FIFA has much deeper corrupt pockets than your typical ticket pimp. And remember, FIFA is already setting that price point at 10x the price to begin with and may even go higher.

All this to say, I wasn't expecting $30 tickets but FIFA's money grab for this WC is way over the top. Not that we didnt see it coming last year with the club world cup.

They are setting the price point so they get all the profits. That is fair because it is their event.

oh ok - Yes. in that case, you're right, let them eat cake
yes, it's legal. it's capitalism. But there's nothing "fair'", practical or done with any reasonable thought to bring the game to the masses when you're bringing in dynamic pricing models, charging all sorts of additional fees, and having starting price points that are ridiculously expensive to even the average middle class family. This is an organization that has been plagued with corruption for decades. And they are the only game in town!

Typical family of 4 - will likely need to spend well north of $2k-$3k for nosebleed seats, crappy parking and expensive stadium food just to have the experience of a single 90 minute match. That's of course, assuming it's a single day stop locale where you dont have to pay for super long travel+ lodging and any other additional expenses.

I agree. I do not like it personally. But we see it on a smaller scale in other industries all the time. Concerts do it. Live theater events do it in NYC. Heck even Disney World is pricing out average families and catering mostly to the rich. They do it on purpose because they know there is a very high demand and they want to cater their premium products and services as a high priority brand.
    This is nothing new.

This has been by far the worst World Cup in the money aspect
