Well guys, another four years before the next world cup. I... wish we made to the semis. I wish that I could see us play. I wish that we could have done a proper challenge for this world cup...

    2030? Who knows...

Oh, we know. Start saving money and you may be able to get one of those 3 wishes, just don't count on the other two.

Spain showing us that having a plan, the infranstructure and consistent work yields results, across all divisions (youth, male and female)
Spain has always had competitive teams but never won much until the last 20 years.

And look how they play, everyone defends and presses and everyone participates with the ball and passes and is able to deal with the ball under pressure. We have the types of players that we can play that style if we want to, lots of great pressing players that are also good with the ball but we're stuck still with some archaic ideas that we need to move past, but not many countries have the type of players like we do, we can't be as good as Spain but we can follow their blueprint.

Not that hard when you play 104 games. Goals/game is a more interesting stat.
It has a little better average than the last world cups but they're pretty close.

    True.

Though I am concerned that they are going to expand the world cup even more so after 2034...
