was a clear dive too so cant even say vargentina. same thing happened to almirion against usa. they gave the us defender a yellow, var called for it to be reviewed, almirion clearly dived and the yellow was then given to almiron.

I think so but I don’t think we have the temperament or mental capacity to deal with these matches

Regardless if Argentina survives this they receive way too many goals without having faced any really tough opposition.

England or France will score 3-4 goals on them easily.

I knew Switzerland really could not win this match. They tried their best though.

Glad we did not play Argentina this evening. Would have been more heartbreaking losing a game like this.

We might have won! Life is weird. They were facing a ten man Swiss team that had just gone 120 with us - who knows!

    Stranger things have happened!

However, I will say having attended today - the Argentines do have an advantage vs. us on chants - more variety and more depth to them.

We were in a goal scoring funk. Hard to beat teams like Argentina if you can’t score goals.

They have more quality players. Most of our players have to be in elite leagues to make a difference but even then it doesn’t guarantee anything.I had high hopes for Suarez but he was one of the most disappointing ones.

    Everyone does

we have one of the worst fanbases which is weird because we have the best following

we are the home team everywhere but a lot of rich people from Colombia, not hardcore fans

other teams have hardcore fans that save money for years for this. Colombia has crowds that the hipness of going to the games

Our chant is vamos vamos Colombia

other teams have drums and actual football chants and clearly are more engaged in the game and liveliness than us

I thought our chants have improved vastly from previous tournaments but our fanbase is very trend oriented.
A lot of people who just watch the World Cup every 4 years and take the event as a party rather than an actual competitive tournament.A lot of tias and grandmas at the stands as well. However it is their right to enjoy the game however they want but it does make you wonder why they are there.

If you look at the positive comments toward the players in general they tend to come from women and not hardcore fans that feel disappointed with the game.

I met a guy from Kazakhstan who went to a couple of matches from Iowa and he said the Colombian fans in general were louder and more passionate than the Argentina fans in K. C.
I think a lot of that could be all the bandwagon plastic Messi fans that just wanted to see him play.

There's a big difference. There's an actual foul on Lisandro. Kane who is a serial cheat and diver clutches his ankle. The replay clearly shows very little contact if at all. This myth that England and European teams don't cheat is a load of garbage. Embolo looked like he had St.Vitus's Dance.

Unfortunately thanks to the greed of FIFA and economics in Argentina many genuine fans not the Messi fan club couldn't go. Hence you see many sections gawping when the usual chants are being sung. Shame really.

Unfortunately we also have Scaloni. The man is a prat. Stuck in his ways relying on old players. Hell he brings on Otamendi who should be in bed drinking cocoa instead of Senesi and was forced into bringing on Lopez.

That Embolo dive has to be one of the dumbest plays I have seen in years. He actually thought he would get away with it.
