If the game is in Miami be prepared to pay more than a grand for nosebleed sections.

Uzbekistan is ranked 50 while Congo is 56...

I genuinely don't think we should be at the World Cup if we struggle against them...

I am. I saved a budget aside for half a decade for the world cup and now is the time.

Ranking does not matter. It is all about style and how we match up tactically and physically.
We should still win of course but we better not think it will be easy.

The World Cup isn't easy, but these teams are nothing compared to else. ******** style and assuming the worst; we will bring our A game into the world cup for those two weak teams given that Portgual is the last opponent of ours. No friendly experimenting.

I like our group. We are equal to Portugal on my opinion and favourite when have the home advantage. Uzbekistan aren't bad, but we should beat them. Same as Jamaica and Congo.
Having said that, I still have nightmares from my celebrations after the 1994 draw and we all know how that ended...
In conclusion I'm satisfied and hope that we will advance from one of the first two positions.

The path (per wikipedia) is absolutely brutal if we come in 2nd and also extremely favorable if we come in 1st.

i would love to attend the Portugal game - it's on a Saturday and if it's in Miami, i have a free jetblue flight, my mom's car and place to stay - i think parking fees for group games are $75

If in Atlanta - i have a place to stay (i think), and i would need to get to MARTA train to go to the stadium

the other games are on a Tuesday/Wednesday - don't know if i can pull off a Houston trip...

So if the favored teams won...

We win the group, likely Argentina in the quarters. Runner's up, likely Spain in round of 16.

    Heh, football huh?

yea I was like first game for Colombia is Portugal but then I saw what the bracket looks like if we don't finish first..... rather not play Croatia then Spain haha

beat Portugal then we don't have a tough game until QF vs Argentina

US/BElgiums path to the QF is a fking joke. Same with England if they beat Croatia.

Will need to win first two games convincingly to have a healthy goal difference. Then we can play for a draw against Portugal.

fwiw - Uruguay beat 2-1 Uzbekistan in a recent friendly with what looks like a B- team.
