False a lot of bad shit happens at American football games … players and fans get hit with all kinds of stuff , all kinds of threats from death letters to now days more social media threats. It’s a ton of idiotic fans for every sport and team. Some fanbases are just much bigger so your going to standout. Iré because of that.

I ignore that chant like i ignore the dumb @$$3$ who still chant against Precourt when we aren’t playing Austin. You literally can’t stop fans/customers from chanting so getting mad about it only makes it worse. Just ignore it , drown them out with loud music etc.. edit the audio or whatever. You can make all the rules you want if you aren’t serious and get the Mexican players to bet the fans to stop because they are say forced to forfeit .. it’s a lost cause and let’s be honest it’s trolling , it’s immature, it’s not a big deal.

I don’t wear Mexico gear, or get hype when they score but i don’t openly root against Mexico either. I support my friend and stay neutral and take no joy in a win or a loss because it’s not my team. I do enjoy it when Michigan losses a game and i will rub it in. I don’t get the same vibe of rivalry from international soccer. I love the United States and don’t get caught up in hating Mexico. I’m just glad we started beating them instead of losing all the time. I don’t think if Mexico became really bad at soccer that would benefit us. I think it does benefit Ohio State when Michigan sucks and was never on board with idiots who said they need to be good to make it a rivalry. I enjoyed their suffering.

Prefacing this with I love Mexico, I’ve been there 10 times (starting in the early 80’s) and I will return. However, Mexican and some other Latin American fans make a habit of frequently disturbing the opposing team the night before a match. I view it as very bad sportsmanship (a form of cheating). Certainly, my experiences at Mexico matches have been quite different from yours.

We would never, ever do such a thing here in the USA.

(Part of me does think it'd be badass if it spread to college football. I'm sure the City of Columbus would rather willingly let WNCI pay for a permit to hold a block party outside the TTUN hotel.)

Arguing with him is pointless. He just gets more entrenched in his opinion with every post, regardless of how many facts are piled up against it.

Only match I’ve seen there was At Pachuca and it was good for me , now the food poisoning for the Crew not so much but it’s hard to prove but I’m talking about how Mexican - American fans that i know .. I’ve not seen the hate here. In Pachuca i had 0 issues but I’m not saying stuff yall experienced isn’t true. But we seen a lot of American fans of nba , mlb & nfl have issues and the common denominator is usually alcohol not ethnicity.

Fire alarms definitely been pulled and American sports have seen it. To what scale I’m unsure I’ve never experienced it but have heard stories. I think it’s just with passionate fans who are invested if they know where the other team is try to help their team in their mind. This organized thing might be just Mexican thing i can’t say because i have no idea. But i do know they said Ecuador did it to them. So maybe it’s a cultural thing from Mexico - C & S America.

Imjs crazy fans are everywhere , Mexico definitely has a passionate fanbase that is large. Bigger the fan base the more likely you get shenanigans like this …

I can't give examples but I've heard it may have happened in American sports, and also the Mexico fans said that Ecuador fans started it. Let's also ignore the multiple instances of players getting food poisoning in Mexico hotels, because it would be inconvenient to point out that doesn't happen at all to visiting teams in the US. LMAO

Guys, it's important you all know that England fans staked out 15 separate hotels that the El Tri players may have been staying on Saturday night. That's what prompted the Mexico fans to then do the same in return. The media covered up England's involvement to promote their anti-Mexico agenda. My Hispanic friend told me all about this, so it must be true.

I never said any of that and none of my friends had anything to say about it other than Ecuador did it to Mexico and i heard that in other media outlets as well.

I don’t need examples but teams in American sports have definitely had issues with fire alarms etc … i can’t remember everything in exact detail. Research it yourself , im not making it up. Perhaps talk to more sports fans if you think this is isolated to only Mexican soccer than you are sadly mistaken.

Yikes. Seems to me after the matches were said and done, Baloguns ban should be a game and not rescinded. And Quansah too - just a game. What is going on? These are pretty similar challenges though I think Quansah’s was “worse.” But it just calls into question what the criteria is. Obviously they’re just making it up?

I know stuff like this is subjective, but while Quansah did absolutely commit serious foul play, and he absolutely deserved the red card, it feels like if there was ever a SFP red card where the one match suspension was enough, this was it. I don't know if there's an automatic two games for SFP at this tournament, because frankly, we haven't seen that many red cards. But if this was a decision that some committee made somewhere, I think they're being harsh.

Fun FIFA Fact, all the refs for the France Morocco match are from Argentina, every single one.

France on the verge of running away with this now. Two quick goals, and Morocco has to push it now.

Mbappe's goal was just a touch of class.

Comparing Balogun's red to Quansah's as pretty similar is just not reality. One was a slide tackle to the mid leg, the other was a coming down on an ankle/foot from a reach for the ball. The force and risk on Quansah's was very different.

Other semi going to be England v Argentina. England 40 years later and on the same continent finally gets revenge for the 'Hand of God' game in 1986.

Then England v France, their old rival from across the Channel, in the Final.

I'm cheering for Switzerland, tho. Five current or former Gladbach players, some of whom I've seen play IRL at Borussia Park.
