I do miss the days when everybody used their BS alias at National team games.

I haven't been since the big renovation. Moving out of.the area means you do t get around to all.the places you used to like.

I suppose progress is inevitable and all, but it sounds like they stripped away all the dirt and darkness and all the stuff that made it feel real. But of course seedy dive bars dont sell in the short north any more.

But they surely still have lots of TV's and Im sure the place will be insane.

Not a fan of Mac's as a Short North resident. The food is terrible and they're always out of half the beers on the menu. If you want a seedy dive, Zeno's would be my vote. Vic Village Tavern if you want more of a modern neighborhood bar. Pint House has the best TV layout and beer menu.

Good to know but the poster asked for a Scottish themed place to watch the game, not where he could go to get a knife wound in the men's room and pick up herpes from a 20 dollar hoor.

I know, offering other suggestions if Mac's does not fit the bill. And second, how dare you besmirch Char Bar.

The nets in the goals seem really tight, or taught if you will. Some of the goals scored the ball comes right back out of the goal.

Also, I know we have had hydration breaks in the past. But this seems totally different, and messes with the vibe, or my vibe, viewing the match.

Also, the camera angle in ‘NY/NJ Stadium’ catches some railings, and the team bench areas almost block the view of the touchline.

New York bench’s almost blocked the touchline. San Fran benches DID block the touch line. These NFL stadiums aren’t perfect with their width but the pitches have been nice. I was worried about width after the Copa America from a few years ago. We all know it wasn’t Stan Kronke’s choice, but FIfA mandating pitch quality has worked out. Just too bad they won’t keep them for future tournaments.

The extended hydration breaks move the game into really feeling like four distinct quarters. The announcers acknowledged it in the Brazil/Morocco games. I really don't like it.

Appreciate the suggestion, Bill. Much obliged.

    Sadly, it has apparently changed.

Pretty bougie. Probably three people here in Scotland jerseys. Scotland’s match is on two TV’s; the others are showing the NBA finals. PA with background music.

Oh, and they’re out of Scottish ale.

The DJ is having fun tonight. They played Down Under by Men at Work during the pregame, Thunderstruck after the Australia goal, and Freed from Desire during the hydration break (sponsored by Powerade).

The Scottish jerseys look like old-school NASL jerseys ca. 1975....

Funny, I was thinking similar. Maybe part of it was the block number font.

Haha. My wife has a minor in English from college. Me, I had to take remedial English in college, due to getting a D in 11th grade English class in high school. :)

Gotta have the entire stadium start mocking it. Hold up 4 fingers in the air during the 2nd half hydration break.
