Anthony Taylor is the ref for our game. This guy in the EPL is a good ref but he's biased as hell towards certain teams.
epl ref for what's likely the most physical team we're gonna play in the group stage is not good. gonna let a lot of stuff go.
📢POSIBLE FORMACIÓN vs Uzbekistán🇺🇿Así formaría Colombia🇨🇴: Camilo Vargas; Daniel Muñoz, Davinson Sánchez, Jhon Lucumí, Johan Mojica; Gustavo Puerta, Jefferson Lerma, James Rodríguez; Jhon Arias, Luis Díaz y Luis Suárez.⁉️¿Les gusta? ¿Cómo formarían ustedes?— Antonio Casale (@CasaleSports) June 16, 2026
I would start Castano ahead of Puerta Carrascal ahead of Arias JFQ ahead of James Santi ahead of Munoz and then sub at half time puerta, James and Arias. Replace Santi with Dani after the 2nd hydration break and then sub in Ditta for Suarez to finish out the game

today is our 1st day of Christmas (or festivus)! Good news is that the temperature is going to be in the 60s so we won’t have to worry about the heat and we have plenty of experience with games in altitude. Better news - we have fully fit squad, no drama, no bull sh**, plenty of rest, a cohesive unit, several friendlies that prepared us well for this moment. First up…Uzbekistan - time to dog walk them and show the world we are back in the World Cup scene and this time we want the gold sucka!! All gas! No breaks! yadadamean!!!
TBH I would prefer weather was brutally hot, would be an advantage for us vs the Uzbeks. I think they're gonna come in ready to defend like dogs and not make it easy for us, hopefully we're ready to deal with it and be patient, we have struggled against bunkering teams so hopefully we've learned from it.
im sure everyone has been watching but every single game is played with the highest intensity. so we need to be up there to match
For all the shit that has been talked about this team, I hope that put some fire under their ass to lock in. I hope whatever clicked in the Copa America comes back.
yeah i thought about that, but i would have been more concerned about us "burning the match" in this first match if the temperatures were in the +80s, especially with UZB likely to park the bus.. 100% agree about having patience and focus - look at the teams that got more and more frustrated as the game went deeper (Ecuador & Spain in particular). i just want to avoid a 700 vs 200 pass game and we were going into the 80th minute with no goals... Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Jordan have all been good friendlies for us to prepare for this game. * 3 points: Expectation and on the right path to be in the driver seat * 1 point: Will have to think about changing things around and will have to start following other results * 0 points: Lots of pissed off people, but not end of the world, no margin of error in 2nd and 3rd games and will also have to follow other results much closer
they gave us the shittiest kick off time possible. Going to have to drink a coffee or something to stay up
yeah i was cooked last night during the argentina game. so i will probably go for a workout around 7 pm to be fresh and ready for 10 pm
Being one of the last teams to play before rotating in a cycle again has likely helped us. Not only for the extra rest time (especially for injuries) but mentally as well. I expect our boys to be as prepared as possible to start our campaign to challenge for the World Cup.
