Yes I remember years ago when Maradona protested the FIFA ban on games at high altitudes. I actually thought it was a nice gesture knowing that even his own argentina several times had lost precisely because of that playing in La Paz. It also made some sense to not make a poor country having to build a stadium at a lower altitude. I don't know much about Bolivia but I guess most big cities are at high altitudes. So I could accept that they would get a pass on their capital. But now playing even higher is really pushing it. It seems like the worse team they have the higher up they want us to play. Soon we'll be playing on the moon.
---------------------Montero----------------- Elvis Perlaza---Llinas--Ditta---C Borja ------------ Velzquez---Cataño----------- ------------------Macalister------------------- --------Cambindo-Falcao- Rodallega--------------
Send them to La Paz tomorrow so they can live there for a month before the game, they will come to the game as fresh as the locals.
Manizalez is pretty high too although not as high as Bogota or Tunja. So I guess I may be tempted to start Dayro instead of Cambindo.
Actually you could have a decent team: ----------------Mier Perlaza - Milan -- Riquett --Borja Velasco--Torres--Rios--Barrios Quiñones--Dayron
I wonder what is the longest time between callups in Colombian history. Would be glorious to see Rodagol after 13 years in yellow.
also, he's not particularly injury prone if im not mistaken. He does get injuries but it doesn't happen as frequently as I would imagine a 40 year old. Falcao gets hurt more often than he does
