And Spain will do the same. Have they scored a goal from distance at this WC?

Cabo Verde gave both Spain and Argentina their stiffest tests.

    LOL ENGLAND

Argentina were the far better team. England had the physicality in the first 25 minutes and took advantage of a defensive mistake. Anderson Rice and yes even Jude are runners. They struggled with Norways midfield. This should have been the expected outcome when we look at the quality.

England have great players but they are players that fit roles on their team. You need a midfield baller/passer and a world class keeper to win the world cup. Kane also dropped off when the games got tough. He will probably never win a meaningful trophy in his life.

Spain have not! But...they have attempted their fair share, amazingly mostly through Yamal. I've observed Yamal is wise beyond his years and at least knows the importance of trying them

Yeah, versus Mexico it was understandable because they were down to 10, altitude, versus the home team. I have no issue with there. But for the Argentina match. Get a f****** hold on it, man. Like calm down, use the hydration break to make adjustments and pep talk to turn the tide as we've seen all tournament, make the proper substitutions. The danger was brewing. And here's what I was writing earlier... had you had some foresight and Captied a beast like Ademola Lookman imagine the shot in the arm he would have been had he come in on in the 70th Minute. They have themselves to blame.

copa america champs vs euro champs a true world cup

England meanwhile have never knocked out a top team in world cups off home soil.
    Same story every time.

Theyre just not that good. They have good players but Norway also pinned them back. Their players fill roles on teams but they dont have the pieces to dominate a top team. England fans will blame the tactics but if they didnt park the bus Argentina would have scored even quicker.

i'm sure they are going to blame the coach solely ... but at the end of the day when you have all those defenders and you get beat on a header by Lautaro... your defenders are shit too! lol

i'm with @TorontoCalabria ... yes it was cowardly...but i mean... i dont think they have the players otherwise.

The ironic thing is.. how many of these idiots were yelling 'BIG DAN BURN" the first few games when parking the bus worked against mexico and norway after the goal. But now that it didn't work.. its F*** Tuchel lol.

Communicated with my childhood friend who is a Spaniard but currently living overseas. He agreed with my comment that Argentina were impressive but added "typical England".

Bellingham is a loser no doubt. But if you are going to bunker then bunker RIGHT.

OMG...did you see the marking? On the first goal they gave him 10 yards of space and time to have an English tea. On the 2nd goal, the English defenders STOOD AND WAITED for Messi to get the ball and have an UNCONTESTED cross in the box.

I've rarely seen anything like this in my life. The defending by the English was so bad that I would have guess they were bought and the game was rigged.

Absolutely AWFUL defending there at the end.

I have no problem if you want to defend a lead in a WC Semifinal. But the marking can't be 10 YARDS OFF THE BALL.

I think Bayern Munich also share this distinction. Unless it ends here.

Whatever the case, Juventus have the most World Cup Winners of any club in the world. But should Argentina win I'm not sure Gonzalez's loan to Atletico would count.

Even more you are gifted a goal.

That Messi cross with his weaker foot was pin point between 2 Defenders. Just barely out of John Stones' reach.

They gifted you a goal and you mess it up. Goodness me.
