Belgium is better than the USA but Pulisic was clearly suffering from an injury people like to ignore that and say he was a no show. If he was in the form when he played vs Paraguay, it would've been a different game.

Pulisic has been injured all year at Milan too.

He hasn’t been the same since he came back from the national team camp I believe in February or March…

Cdk better than every American player in history. Same with big rom, the goalie, and kdp. Most of their defense 2 and probably trossard.

    There are so many levels

    IMO England are just due.

2022 England lost the QF to France in a match they were the better team for about an hour. Kane missed his PK then Giroud scores late completely against the run of play.

2 EC's sandwiched in between that and they were beaten Finalists. But in these 2 matches, unlike the 2022 QF they were second best in these 2 matches.

They are right there. One of these days they have to get it right.

Agreed . Eventually the sun shines on a dog's ass someday. The Footballing Gods just can't keep going against them after getting so close these last tournaments. It just wouldn't go with the harmony of football.

Sorry Belgium, not every team can eliminate Spain in the QF at an American WC. Stupid joke aside (was supporting Belgium).

32 years almost to the day... Spain lost that match 2-1 with a goal scored in the 88th Minute.

Today won 2-1 with a goal scored in the 88th Minute.

Watching Italia highlights of past WCs is infuriating. You know we have the talent in that 68 million people somewhere but we either squander it or let it die on the vine. Absolutely angers the hell out of me.

That business model which incentives clubs beginning all the way at the youth level , due to lending foreign players better tax cuts which greatly increases their profit margins, needs to end. Its a sure fire way to guarantee stifling home grown talent and if one didn't know better one would think its the sort of intentional move , along with many other insidious intentional moves, that prioritizes global agendas over home and nation. Whether that be in sports or anywhere else .

Yes, Don Bartolomeo. This was true, but the Decreto Crescita is over. It was over in 2024, but the clubs keep buying mediocre foreign talent. The only choice here is to FORCE change through legislation.

The Spanish made big changes decades ago. They have spending caps in their league. Teams own their own stadiums. There are capped release clauses in youth contracts. In short, to survive and do well in La Liga, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GREAT YOUTH SECTOR.

Until we create the same conditions in Italy, we are going to struggle to promote youth from primavera to professional.

I do believe if Belgium had their full healthy squad the result with spain would've been different.

One minute you're 25 Years Old playing for your native South Africa at the World Cup and a few weeks later you commit suicide.

It's sad I can still feel the magic of our old games (2006 and back) when I watch them. Where has it gone? We would always refuse to die, and when we did, we took ever ounce of dignity with us. 2010 to current has felt so tense and eventually devoid of life and matter of fact putrid.

2010 still pisses me off to this day, so many great players left home in favor of old retirees. Italy's 2010 squad was the oldest in that tournament. Balotelli, Cassano, Rossi, Miccoli, even Totti was great at 34 even though he had retired from the NT. Injuries didn't help either but we definitely left a lot of quality either at home or on the bench.

Speaking on those old World Cups from the 90s up to 2006 . Do you know that from WC 1990 through WC 1994 and all the way to WC 1998 Italia only registered one official loss ( obviously I don't have to explain here how games which go to penalties are registered as a draw for each squad but I'll mention it anyway for others who are new or slow ) . So check this . In 1994 if we didn't allow that freak long distance lob shot ( by what's his face of Ireland? ) against Ireland which resulted in a 1 - 0 loss for Italy in the group phase , well that would have meant Italia would have registered a 19 match unbeaten streak through three consecutive World Cups from 1990 all the way until 1998 . That streak NEVER would have been matched as I believe the Netherlands holds the record currently at 16 games now ( though one has to take into account they failed to qualify for WC 2018 so there is a gap in their presence in that streak which doesn't hold the same weight as a nation always present during their streak ).

Ah , from almost going totally unbeaten through 3 consecutive WCs. All the way to the current day in failing to qualify for 3 consecutive World Cups.

Ok, I am going to find a tall building now , so dont mind me .
