:inlove::) Yeah, that's why I left 30 years ago, but current home of the GOAT. Haaland is about to assume that title, I think.

its tough... on one hand i do get your argument. Morocco would def be nothing without european academies, systems, etc.

But on the other hand, despite the path they took there... these players are Moroccan and should be playing there based on how they feel internally.

It would be like if my kid was good enough to play for Italy, i would love for him to play there despite "growing up" in Canadian soccer systems.

I don't think Hakimi is the only one who could play for country of birth and chose Morocco, which begs the question; why do they feel more Moroccan than say the ones who could play for their country of origin/heritage but choose France?

Michael Olise is worse IMO. "Franco"-Algerian mother and British Nigerian father and hes never lived in France.

Would be like us with Koleosho TBH... although Koleosho is at least half italian ethnically... while Olise has 0 french ethnics in him.

Yes, I saw his first presser when he was asked a few questions in French and was, "Pardone?"

France is also getting Ballon d'or level Dembele something they didn't get in 2018 or 2022. Rest of the field is cooked.

Barcola coming off the bench running at tired legs, after dealing with that level of starting attack for almost the whole game, is nightmare fuel.

    They absolutely crumpled Morocco.

    Their front 4 are unplayable.

I have to say that a final 4 of France-Spain and Engerlund-Argentina would be spectacular

Good ********in riddance you and your fraudulent team.

In my hometown I have seen all stripes celebrate their teams victories or bemoaned a loss -- Italians, Brazilians, Argentine, Portuguese, Croatian. As well as the victories by the local NBA or MLB team (still waiting for the NHL team). Not once. Not a single time has any of there fanbases rioted. Despicable. Nothing a baton crack to the skull won't correct. Even more they will gaslight you to believe they are victims. Merci Les Bleus.

and then they have Cherki who would start for everyither team in the world cup.
We also forget that Ekitike is injured not that he would even see the pitch.

Yeah it's just an unfair talent pool right now.

They basically can just sit off and smash teams on the counter because that attack is just so bloody fierce. Every single counter today legitimately looked like it could be a major scoring chance with Mbappe, Olise, Dembele and then Barcola off the bench.

They get the lead on you and it is just a nightmare when you have to push forward and open yourself up even more.

My order of preference for remaining teams would be: Switzerland, Norway, Belgium, England, Spain, France, Argentina.

I respect Argentinian football and am happy that our fellow Italians in Argentina do so well. However, I've grown so tired of the Messi glaze (as my son would say). It's nauseating and I think Maradona was a better player.

France I don't need to say more, but I will. I just don't like their football. It's based primarily on pace with some skill. I prefer a more artistic brand of calcio.

Spain annoys me with their style. It's very effective and they do a great job of developing youth but I feel they have been over-rewarded with some of their titles vs their actual level of play in the last couple decades.

England: They just aren't that good and if they somehow lucked out and won, we'd never hear the end of it. It would be viewed by the British/American press as the greatest team of all time lol

Belgium - not good enough so not holding my breath

Norway - Would be a nice story but is their D good enough when challenged by elite pace?

Swiss - would be funny to see Gianni's country win :)

Does Switzerland have a remote chance of beating Argentina?
