English fans and commentators are unbareable its one extreme to the other. France missed so many easy chances on the second half and england could easily have lost, 1st half france didnt turn up or they would easily have won. Finishing in bronze meant far more to england than france, francd have won world cup and lost in the final in last 2 tournaments finishing with a bronze is sod all to them.
In a WC you don't want every game as a neutral to be like that. You always want one or two to be crazy but what you want is each game to breathe differently and tell different stories

IMO, the longer it goes scoreless the better it is for Argentina, just to follow the pattern that we've seen in previous matches where they find another gear. Whereas a team lIke Spain, i've seen it so many times, a team that has the ball all the time they seem to run out of ideas. Then again, I said that against Portugal and they ended up scoring in the 91st. If Spain hasn't scored by the 80th minute, Argentina probably is going to win it. Hold me to it, I don't really care. I've been wrong more times than correct so no sweat off my back. If Spain score early, it could get ugly.
I would say yes it was a bit of a farce, but at the end of the day I'm ok with it. We have things like the Austria v Sweden 7-5, Hungary v El Salvador 10-1, Yugoslavia Zaire 9-0, Hungary v West Germany 8-3, German v Brazil 7-1 and Sweden beating Bulgaria in 3rd place 4-0 all in the first half. I am ok with this game being in history the way it was, but not what I want the sport to be all the time.
