I mostly agree with this, but they were still attempting to attack and get forward until the hydration break when Tuchel subbed out Gordon for Konsa, which pretty much forced them into a back-5 with Kane back up-top.

Kane doing the thing he did with Bayern and dropping deep to play long-balls was working like gangbusters, but it was only possible when they had attack options on both sides of the pitch.
