Gotta say, England's embellishment skills have really improved over the years. 10/10. Argentina is falling behind here. They'll need to raise their game.
I thought that was a very enjoyable half. No offensive threat at all, but the game within the game is great. Argentina is 100% committed to everything. Totally pressing the physical line, but I haven't seen anything dirty from them. England is trying to give what they get but are never going to win a dark arts game. They would be better just ignoring it all and playing. I think the ref has done about as well as he could. What else would have improved the game?
Talk all you want about this being boring, as long as it gets to pens watching those pristine white kits turn brown will be amazing.
I didn't think it was boring at all. I actually applaud England for coming out and getting into the scrap a bit; my only response is once you do that, pretending you're above it is freaking annoying. England is so much bigger and more athletic, at times seem a bit too cool for school. Love Argentina's fight -- really can't understand why people dislike them so much. But maybe I just always like the little guy. The idea that Argentina is a cheating, dirty team when I have to watch Elliott Anderson on England is weird.
Shots 2 each, on target England 1 - 0 Argentina…And they have Messi and this is a very defensive game and physical
Whoever refs the final needs to be ready to give cards early. Either one of these teams is going to pick up a lot of fouls trying to tackle Spaniards when the ball is already gone
Unwatchable at times.................but you keep watching it because you know something spicy is going to go down. LIke when people used to go picnic while waiting for staged train collisions. Something is going to go down in the 2nd half that we'll be talking about for a long time.
Seeing ads with Pulisic and Mbappe doesn’t quite land for me for some reason Andres Cantor is evergreen though
