Yeah though this England team seems different winning at the Azteca and in the Miami heat.

It’s also the case that before this World Cup the last time England came back from behind to win at the World Cup was the 1966 final. They’ve done it twice in this tournament.

Yeah I think you and I had a similar discussion a week or two ago about his squad selection as it pertained to wingers, but the central mid/d mid choices were problematic as well. Bellingham can play a few midfield positions, but Eze and Rogers are pretty much limited to AM or maybe the wing.

after Anderson and Rice, he only brought Henderson (who is old) and Mainoo, who he seems not to trust at all. Stones can fill in at Dmid, but they need him some at center back because their top two center backs are not very tall.

I’m sure tuchel had plenty of tactical ideas when choosing his squad, and of course they’ve gotten this far so there’s no real reason to complain (yet), but he overlooked some very basic depth problems and situational issues with this squad as well. Which is of course par for the course with him.

This Swiss team is way better than I thought. Even before the goal they’ve been excellent pretty much all game.

Shouldn’t dive then if you don’t want a 2nd yellow.

Yeah he screwed up right back but also should have brought Wharton or Alex Scott or Garner. Henderson seems like he was told before this all started.

I also would have taken Bowen over Madueke.

He could have also just swapped Rice for Mainoo today also which would have made more sense.

I understood his point that it didn’t make sense to take 5 players who can play the 10 as why not to bring Foden and Palmer. But I don’t think he made adequate use of the roster spots that opened up.

I’d also add if Harry Kane is going to play every minute plus Rashford can play the 9, do you really need Toney?

    No rig. Embolo dove.

Irony is if there wasnt a yellow on Paredes this wouldn't have gone to VAR.

They are literally carrying Argentina to the Semifinals like Cleopatra in a Sedan chair lol.

There's literally no-one on the planet other than Argentina Fans, and "The Ref Show," that think Argentina getting to the semi's is anything other than preordained. Lol, not even subtle.

I also think if Embolo got up after the "tackle", it wouldn't have necessitated a yellow towards either party.

But he rolled around like he got shot.
