They’re a complete team.
Hincapie has been playing like the best defender in the world in champions league.
The attack has about six guys to rotate, they will be fast and physical.

If we beat the Aussies, finishing 3rd would happen if:

Türkiye wins out for 6 pts and Australia beats Paraguay. The Aussies win the TBs for first, and Türkiye has H2H vs us for 2nd.

Heading into the final round, assuming we win by one, 3 team TB:
Aussies (2 G): +1 GD, 2 goals + USA Gs
USA (1 G): +1 GD, 1 goal (at least)
TUR (1 G): -2 GD, 0 goals.

A one goal Türkiye win could give the Group to the Aussies in the 6/6/6 scenario, and we'd be 3rd.

If we win by 2, if gets really hard for the Aussies to win the TB. We'd have to lose to Türkiye by 2 (but not 3, because then the Turks win the Group) AND the Aussies win the TB on goals scored amongst tge 3 or overall GD. But with us +3 with 4 goals scored, that will be difficult if the 3-way is tied.

If we beat the Aussies, Paraguay getting to 6 pts prevents Australia and Turkey from getting there. Any Paraguay point prevents their opponent from hitting 6. So any 3 way tie on 6 has to be USA/Australia/Türkiye with Paraguay on zero.

 

Much more entertaining game than I expected........Ecuador really should be up 2-0
