Classic physical, counter-attacking game. You look very smart when it works.

5 games and the only team UEFA could beat was Haiti...

Nah, that's BS. It's great if you perform well and meet/exceed expectations. It sucks if you don't.

    Definitely.[/QUOTE]

I agree, not much technique, solid defense, and wait for their chances.

It will mean whoever wins next Friday most likely will move on to the next round.

I thought Turkey looked poor. They looked so slow at every position. They looked uninspired, easy to get too mentally and uninspired.

I think we are much faster and more athletic. I am feeling a lot more confident about our Turkey game now.

Australia. That was simply Haramball. A style of last resort for teams deficient on talent. Does it work sometimes? Sure. But usually the better team manages to get through and win.

They will try and do the same with us. There were several points where Australia was defending with 10 in the box.. and relatively early in the game..

They are simply here to drag the game down into the mud. Will it work against the US? Maybe but I like our chances. Especially in Seattle.

Poch better have our guys practice short quick small passes inside the box. I don't think we are going to beat them in the air.

A draw as well: 4 points will put you on top of third place teams

We haven't but we have seen the type of teams that some people think we should have more of.

Paraguay had 10 in the box, we had 8. I guess we scored because Paraguay aren't as tall as the bunkeroos?

I think Paraguay was a better opponent than Australia. I think the australia win over turkey doesn't change that, it just says alot about turkey. This is turkeys first world cup they have qualified for since 2002, in the expanded format that let Curacao in.

    lol.

Rod has his own distillery it turns out (because of course he does). Those ads are hilarious - Rod looks like a homeless guy on a 5 year bender, and he wants you to join him in his sloppy stupor.

I only saw highlights so grain of salt. But Turkiye didn’t look slow to me. They looked threatening offensively but not quite organized defensively.

Australia’s counter looks dangerous and scares me if it puts Ream in 1v1 situations vs those speedsters. I assume we will have a plan to avoid that.

What’s the group tie break order, anyone know? Is it GD, then goals scored? Does head to head come into play before either of those?

just thinking if we win vs Australia we would almost certainly win the group due to GD even if Turkey won their next two games.

I just read that only 1 of their starters against Brazil was born in Morocco.

Believe H2H is now the first tiebreaker (which is how it should be IMO). If that's the case, a win over Australia plus a Paraguay win or draw in the other game clinches us the group after matchday 2.

sucks for us (potentially) if Turkey wakes up.
