Digging into the Wiki, it's a negative. I still hold out hope though that a USL side will have beaten more MLS sides from Texas than Austin will this year. The team that accumulates the most points during the regular USL season, excluding possible U.S. Open Cup match ups and league playoffs, will be awarded the trophy at the conclusion of the league season
I have no idea how we wound up in a group with Knoxville and Richmond, but winning 2 games on the road is always going to be tough, no matter who the opposition is.
Time and date locked in A Round of 32 road trip 🚌We will face USL League One side Richmond Kickers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15 at City Stadium in the @opencup Round of 32 💪 pic.twitter.com/rJOCfq8CYk— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) April 2, 2026
Ahahaah, Louisville knocked Austin out of THE CUP! And Crew Legend JJ Wiliams ties it up at the death to force New England into extra time.
Two Cupsets, a PK shootout (NE keeper was solid but Rhode Island needs to work on their PKs), a golfest in New York, and Sacramento even with Minnesota going into the final 15 minutes. Great night to be watching THE CUP!
If only someone had taken the time to link to this thread in the other one. In the first post. Alas. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I hope we don’t go to penalties against One Knoxville. They looked good on their penalty takes. And their goalie saved one, and almost another.
There's Clippers home games at 6:15 on both possible home dates. Yeah, the Crew game should...will...get more people, but given typical USOC attendance, what are the guesses on the attendance difference between the two teams?
https://www.mlssoccer.com/competitions/u-s-open-cup/2026/bracket/ There's the bracket. If we win, then it's New England or Orlando on 5/19 or 5/20.
The Open Cup is coming to Columbus 🙌We will face One Knoxville SC in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 on April 29 at @ScottsMGField. Secure your spot now ⬇️🎟️: https://t.co/Oj7xtwIplh pic.twitter.com/PX36DblaSy— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) April 16, 2026
If you're a STM, log in here for $11 tickets. Nobody should have to pay more than that. https://am.ticketmaster.com/crew/buy/USOPENCUPCOLUMBUSCREW
Seems like a reasonable price for tickets. Looks like the whole stadium is listed as General Admission, though I wonder if most of it will be closed off, and we'll only be able to sit in the Nordecke or on the lower east side. It would be nice if enough people showed up that they had to open more of the stadium.
Indeed. Indeed it would. The logical solution would be to start with the lower part of the Nordecke (expand as necessary) and the lower east. If needed, then go into the lower south. Now watch them put everyone on the lower west.
