Hamstring. So probably still out a while but not as bad compared to a knee injury. https://bsky.app/profile/calebpongratz.bsky.social/post/3mhqscaudes2y
More on Zambrano. He seems to move around, with not a lot of playing time over the past 3+ seasons. Report: Revolution Acquire Marcos Zambrano On Loan The Revs have reportedly added to its attack with the addition of Real Salt Lake and U.S. U20 forward Marcos Zambrano. It can take a long time for youth players to find a decent situation, so I'm not seeing that as a red flag just yet. I think Zambrano see solid minutes here and hopefully he pans out to be a good prospect. I'm more concerned that the only players we're managing to sign are "coach's pets" and retreads from past teams (no offense intended to Diego, who I think will be an effective contributor this season).
I'm assuming this is just a depth signing, so we can suit up a minimum of two forwards for the next few weeks.
Revolution loan defender Keegan Hughes to Birmingham Legion FC revolutionsoccer.net Saturday, Apr 4, 2026, 01:00 PM This is the third player the Revs have sent to USL-C for this season, joining Tiago Suarez (San Antonio) and Jack Panayotou (Loudon).
Curt Onalfo Discusses Hiring Marko Mitrovic, Retaining Matt Turner, And More Apr 28, 2026 by Seth Macomber theblazingmusket.com
So by everything possible, he means do nothing and hope he falls into our lap. The opine "we tried" when the loan ends and he goes back to France
Matt and his agent should be working on him staying here. MLS is where he belongs. He is not cut out for the top 5 leagues in Europe. If Lyon finds a buyer other than the Revs you can probably expect the summer splash will be a keeper. They are probably already looking at the top keeper in the Liechtenstein 2nd division as plan B
At least Mike "How was I to know AJ Soares would get an offer overseas?" Burns isn't in charge anymore. That may have been Bruce's greatest accomplishment here.
It's amazing in 2026 that Mike Burns was still involved with a team, and that that team started the year with 17 rostered players and is on pace to be the worst team ever by every metric imaginable and it's not even close. Maybe Peter Vermes wasn't the problem
300k for Diego and Kohler are pretty good deals, in line with what they're spending for Beason. 800k for Yow + his transfer fees looks bad for now, almost as bad as the Yueill deal. But there are glimpses he can turn it around. The rest is all stuff we already knew, or supplemental contracts that dont impact our ability to add in the summer
The Guardian put out their analysis of this: $28.3m Messi is MLS’s top earner again, making more than twice as much as Son Jeff Rueter Tue 12 May 2026 14.54 EDT theguardian.com When he listed his starting XI for "Thanking Their Agents FC", I thought for sure that Yueill would make it. He was beaten out by Gustav Berggren:
This is a huge summer transfer window, not because we need a lot of moves, but because we need a couple really good ones. The team is overperforming. Marko's young'uns (with the possible exception of Yow) look the part. Shockingly, we might be just one or two signings away from being a legitimate contender. To really challenge, I thing we need at least one more attacking superstar. But I also don't think we can afford to lose Turner's shot-stopping and leadership. So... can we find a way to make the Turner move permanent, buy him down to non-DP status, and then hit with an attacking DP signing? That seems to be the path to contender status.. Onalfo, for all the crap he's gotten, has succeeded in turning over the roster and coming up with a solid, young base. Now the question is, can he make the top-of-the-roster moves to put us over the top? (After the past two years, I can't believe we're even having this conversation!)
If the Revs could buy down Turner and get a DP winger in the summer window, I think we’d have a chance
That's going to have to be Campana. They just don't have to cap room to spend what it would take and that's why Campana's inability to stay on the field is so damaging. A ton of money getting nothing for us.
I think there is a scenario where we could restructure Turner (good opp with his loan ending soon) to a non-DP slot, use TAM/GAM to buy down his cap hit and get a new 2nd DP - sticking with the 2 DP/4 U-22 model. Definitely some cap magic to be done to make that work with a new incoming DP for their cap hit.
I dont know if that will be possible if they decide to re-sign him. Looking at the MLSPU data, hes on $1.9M for the year, $100k over the TAM threshold, but was eligible to buy down because his contract ends in the summer. If we buy him, even assuming Lyon accepts a $0 transfer fee, he'd have to take a pay cut to still qualify for a buy down
