28 goals for vs. their 22. Tied at ten on goal difference.

We EASILY would have cleared second place if it weren't for the several massive brain farts from Munoz and Lucumi.

On the record, the team sured up Lorenzo's record quite a bit with these last two results.

Unbelievable. Never seen anything like this. Never seen any two game stretch like this. 9 goals in two matches?
Suarez has earned my trust after tonight. 4 goals in a first start is just insane.

I am glad we beat these dudes after all the many times they made us suffer in matches over the years.

Bolivia may not deserve to go to the playoff but screw that. Venezuela does not deserve to go either after tonight's result at home.

Mier was okay against Peru and average against Argentina. I will give him a pass.

It sucks for Mier but he just doesn't cut it.

The only hope I have for the future is that one of Marquinez, Juan Castillo, Alexei, Jordan Garcia or Jorman Mendoza becomes a solid no nonsense goalkeeper. All promising, but way too young and inexperienced.

Lerma gave the ball away waaay too much. I've always appreciated his workrate but it's time to give other players the chance.

Meier made Ospina-like mistakes that Ospina got away with for years. In Meier’s case, he paid the price in one day.

with Devis riding the bench at Roma, we don’t have much depth outside of Vargas and Meier - unless we have someone else out there?

    Beuhler….Beuhler….Beuhler?

    He is what he is.
Mier needs to go to a better league with better coaching. One game should not define his career.

nah we're doomed with the usual trio of Ospina, Vargas, Montero. What else can you do?

I never want to see Mierda again, what a clown.

thank christ this was a meaningless game, otherwise i'd have been furious. Imagine 2 Onana like mistakes in a WCQ, unforgiveable

I've been asking for Suarez to have a bigger role for a long time. Glad he' killed it today. Cordoba is also solid. So we have 2 #9s that can play that box position and put the ball in. Lorenzo is also finally finding out JFQ and James can share minutes....Duh....And Arias coming in with his energy in the last 20 minutes was a perfect balance.

The downside was the defensive ADHD that happens in large 10-15 minute blocks. Even if you're on top by 3 goals I saw a ton of sloppiness. That has to be cleaned up.

Kind of sad about Vzla not making it to the WC.

Watching our press conference. Lorenzo saying he reamed the team at half time because they weren't playing seriously and he was proud of how the team came out in the second half.

He also made some good saves. #2 goal was all him. #1 he had no way to stop that. I guess I'm not ready to give up on him but Vargas will be our #1

So I only got to catch the first half as I was on a hike that kicked my ass. But man I am proud of how our team got back into seemingly the form that got us undefeated up to the Copa America final.

But once again our defense is the issue be it GK or Defenders, such situations for the other team to have goal opportunities needs to be made harder.

Also, my god Suarez... First hat trick ive seen someone playing for Colombia in a long time and especially scoring 4 goals.

I am gald we can say that Suarez and Cordoba, who certainly needed these two goals from these last two games to help break his mentality issues, have now given Duran a reason to worry that he will not be chosen for the world cup. As I've said, competitive options is the way to go. For goal scoring now Duran has to fix himself especially on his behavior.
