We are due to beat these guys badly.

But they match up well with us physically. If they come in and shamelessly slow down the game like they did last time they could well sneak out a 0-0.

    The thing is though...
... even that was not that big of an accomplishment.
We were playing a green Vargas at the time instead of Ospina.
And the back line that started that match was one of the worst we have ever started.
A bunch of guys who had never started together at all. And we have never started that back for since cause it was so bad.

look at it as a compliment. We STILL talk about the 1993 0-5 win vs Argentina.

Be prepared for a lot of time wasting.

Fortunately they won't be able to get away with it as much since it is a night game but they will still be sluggish and trying to get a 0-0 from the get go.

I want us to strike the fear of god into them. A convincing result against Uruguay today beforehand will put the pressure on them.

when we lose a lot of the time it shows on the coach how inexperienced he is and makes some really bizarre changes. Also not scouting doesnt help. The bench had no offensive players.

I would not mind seeing the same starting lineup as yesterday against Ecuador.
Especially if James is not match fit/ injured.

Maybe Cordoba over Duran but it seems like no matter who we start at 9 they will be just so-so.

I thought we played a strong first half. Second half we got too comfortable for our own good and the timing of the subs was suspect. Mina for Portilla was a pointless sub. Commentators even joked if Mina was our new number 9

Borre off the bench when we need to score should never happen. Gomez sub paid off…

3 points is a must for Tuesday

we were excellent up until Davinson disrupted everything, after that we completely fell apart. Uruguay kept coming at us for 90 minutes before the own goal nothing they did was working, we had them totally under control

We need to get over last week's defeat. I think Cordoba and James should start and Lorenzo should give Quintero and Duran at least 30 minutes in the second half. Though game, but I think we can win it.

Lorenzo is starting to look like he struggles with making changes and making them promptly. hopefully Colombia can resolve because Ecuador has a good defense

so no Cabal...(no player called up). James might not be available (no call up to replace), Arias(also potentially not available.... no call up)

this game we have 10 players who if they get a yellow card they can't play the next game. Hope he looking at alternatives for the next round of games.

all this James + Quintero playing together both too old, slow and dont defend. That is suicide we need to start thinking of Arias playing where he does at his club to replace James. Or playing 2 strikers if No James is playing.
