Some interesting results around the league. LAFC won 2-0 in HOU by scoring off two short corners. Both were just a few passes and then in the back of the net without HOU ever touching the ball. I thought short corners were ineffective? Caveat: HOU was down a man on the first, and down 2 men on the second. Speaking of red cards, Montreal goes up a man in Chicago, and manages to ship two more goals in a 3-0 loss. in SJE, Bruce lost Cristian Espinoza, Josef Martinez and Chico Arango. Timo Werner didn't arrive until this past week (came on as a 2nd half sub on Saturday). Despite that the Quakes have taken all 6 points so far (5 GF, 0 GA), with Preston Judd (2 goals) as their striker. And Werner registered an assist in his 29 minutes.
